      I don't. They replaced arguably better trains ( 319 and 365) at least in terms of passenger comfort, good sounding traction motors and BR Nostalgia. Imo they should of kept the 365s and either modernised the 319s or they should of given the 700 better seats.

      @@haroldotrotter9148 That is true, i do feel the only thing letting the 700s down is the seats and interior, as it looks more metro like while they are used on the intercity services. Though i do really miss the 365s, i will never miss the319s.

    Wait, do 700's have two types of traction motors? I've heard them make typical Desiro UFO sounds (like the 350, 444 and 450), but here it sounds more like a Hitachi.

    • @StarlifeStudios
      @StarlifeStudios  3 роки тому +1

      Hi Still_Guns, since the 700s operate on both AC and DC, the under carriage electronics have to convert the DC to AC and as a result, the frequency of the sine wave converted is different to the 50Hz Overheads thus generating a slightly different sound. Another great question 😃

    • @OldShabzleaving
      @OldShabzleaving 3 роки тому +1

      yeah. when they have no electrification they start to sound like class350,

      Hello N1TH Music. I assume your talking about the 700 at the end? Yes this should have stopped but ran fast for some reason. This is quite common on Thameslink to make up lost time. Thanks for watching :)

      @@StarlifeStudios no problem I subscribed because this is high quality content and this is the first thing I've seen from you
      I personally think it's wrong to skip stops to make up lost time because if I wanted to plan a journey and I wanted to take that train and it slipped my station because it was late I wouldn't be happy would I. And Stevenage is a big place maybe it could have skipped somewhere smaller instead

      Thanks for subscribing! I’m really pleased you highlighted my content as high quality. I am striving to provide information on my videos so that my subscribers can look back at previous years and remember how things were. I think it’s wrong to skip stops as well, especially considering that that Thameslink service wasn’t that late.

      @@n1thmusic229 also the services that run south of kings Cross ( Horsham to Peterborough or Brighton to Cambridge) don't stop in between stevenage and Finsbury Park. So it's not like if you wanted to go there but the train ran fast it would be quick to get back to Stevenage
