@@samc347 Nah, in heating/dehumidify mode the water collects in an internal tank. When the unit displays an E5 error, that means the internal tank is full. At that point you can hook up the hose and drain it 👍
@@DrewTimelapse I bought one and found that the tank fills up after around 4 months of heater use. I imagine it would fill up much quicker in dehumidify mode.
in humid areas it can fill up as quickly as 3 hours which we are experiencing :) @@miserablepile (We just started using a mug below the port to collect as we use the heater)
Purchased: August 2022 - still works GREAT! ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxxsUnXhGsSJLim_XnMHyQK0u3XVaW-CGn I live in a studio and during the summer it gets scorching hot - really old building with no ac units. I can’t express how EASY it was to install. This unit has been a life savior during the summer and some days during other seasons where it can still be a bit warm at night. In this small place is my friend, a husky, poodle mix and myself. We need AC - lolI don’t use the dehumidifier option - I’m not sure if it will leak in my house, since I did not install the small draining hose that came with it. May look into it late but I don’t worry about much humidity in the apartment.I don’t understand why the negative reviews since all things mentioned, I personally did not find issues with. Definitely worth it!
Does the blower fan always remain on - or just when the AC compressor is running? (We currently have an old Danby portable air conditioner and the fan always runs from the moment the power is turned on which is a real nuisance noise wise)
First-time setup will be the most time-consuming, though detaching the connection to the window at night and re-attaching it (since not all days will need AC or warm air) in the mornings won't be so bad aside from putting the strips back.
The soft foam is not for insulating the exhaust hose panel. It is for insulating the gap created on the other side of the window when you open it. That’s why it doesn’t have adhesive on it.
Please help. After 30 minutes of operation of the device, I have a full container at the bottom of the water. How can I turn it off so that water doesn't collect?
Have you noticed any issues with the ac unit fluctuating the temp reading of the room, it not blowing cool all the time, or any other issues? I set up mine a few days ago, same model as yours, and it's been very iffy, working only sometimes.
It shows room temperature and not the target temperature we have set. This is the expected behaviour. But yes, there are occasions when the AC would shut down by itself a few seconds after turning on. Using the reset button on the power plug and restarting fixed the issue all the time so far. We are still in the return window and if the issue persists, we might return it.
do we need the hose connection when using the heater? I tried to remove the hose and air is just coming out from the back and theres barely heat coming out
I bought this and a generator to have ready for a power outage. I might not even ever need it. I plan to install it to try it out. Would I still be able to remove everything easily the insulation and everything? Or could I leave the insulation in permanently?
I haven't compared the bills yet compared to last summer. The peak wattage for AC is 1050W. We use it for 2-3 hrs in the night until the room cools down.
Draining is not required when AC(cooling) is used. But when heater is used, we have to drain it every 3-4 nights which is approximately after 10 hours of use.
Thank you for going into detail on the drain hose, I wasn't sure what to expect when other people just briefly mentioned it.
I wonder how long after heating use they got the error. One session? A week?
Wait I’m sorry I’m still confused so when heating I should have the drain hose on it always ? 0-0

Thank you - very helpful. I like that you are honest about the aspects that did not work well for you.

This is great info. Thx for taking the time to post this video. You’re awesome.
Thank you for your honest and detailed setup walk-through and review.
Very informative. Thank you!

It says it’s portable so can I take it to camp or do I need to plug it in the outlet and put the hose by the window too?

Thanks
My AC shuts off when I leave it on. I don’t know why. I’ve been trying to troubleshoot it but haven’t been successful.
Did you end up keeping this? If not, what did you get instead? Thanks!
Thank you!
how do u set it up in an apartment especially if the windows are shut??
How often do i drain it
Love ai voice on video very trendy
Thanks for this video! Question tho... what is the other port for? The one higher than the port that you drained...
Did you ever find out?
Same! I would also like to know what the top port is for
One port is for air intake and the other is for hot air out.

I tried to remove the hose and air is just coming out from the back and theres barely heat coming out
I have the same questionmnnnn
How did you end up fixing the issue? I’m trying to get the heater to work and it just blows cold air.
Do you think you could get away with cutting the plastic tube panel down to fit a 22¼ inch window?
totally possible. I saw a lot of people doing DIY workarounds. But to be honest, we didn't have to do much
Does the hose has to be connected all the time when heat mode is on?
Yes I'm pretty sure.. i have mine on every night since it gets cold. I always have to drain it every night though, kind of annoying..

So to use just the air conditioner we don't need to hook it up into the window for the panels then?
Yes you do
The hoses are for venting heat..The. AC creates a ton of heat..
How much extra do you think it bumped up your monthly electric bill?

Is the ac supposed to leak when In use? It’s brand new and is leaking water
We never faced this issue. Do consider return/exchange if the issue persists in AC mode.
How frequently do you have to drain it during summer and during winter ?

@@NNLALLINONE thanks you for the instructions!
@NNLALLINONE does this mean if I just use it for cooling, I don't have to use window kit. And not put the drain pipe outside?
@@mehag1 For the AC you MUST use the window kit as all the hot air is released outside. You don’t need the Drain water pipe though.
What will happen if it rains?
Will update you once it rains in 2 months :)
dual hose in and out is much better than single hose out.
Inverter???
Non inverter in my country 1.5 horse power is 900rm or 200 bucks
Y el DREN???????
If this is NOT an "AI" or "Azure" voice ... you have the sympathy of legions.
If I use this AC unit for AC only and never for heat, then can I just leave the drainage holes closed with the caps that cone with it?
yes!
