August used to be the hottest in Missouri. But we’ve actually had cooler weather in August the past few years. July is the brutal month!
That's crazy! I've never seen or heard anyone talk about a tail spinner and I got one at the store before I knew how good it was right now and just started smashing them on it about a week, week and a half ago! And it is blasting them right now on my Lake in Missouri! It's just crazy to see someone talk about it right after I started using it for the very first time and it is working amazingly and I'm just burning it through the fish and it stays close to the bottom because it's basically a weight with hooks on it and a spinner

Man for sure . Can’t wait to go punching . I did that a lot at a little lake in hazelhurst miss . Caught several 6 and seven lbs bass . I miss that kind of fishing .

Tried fishing a football jig and a drop shot last week and I all caught was a bunch of weeds and muck off of the bottom. Been trying to learn these techniques.
Mike, that swing jig is what caught most of my bass this summer. I never used that technique until June. I use a 9" fat max and caught the 2 biggest fish i ever caught, mind you, I'm in southeast Pennsy, so 3 - 3 1/2 lb are big to me.

Mike, while you are ticking the roof, is it hard to distinguish a bite from the ticking? I've never caught a punch fish. Are the bites from ticking generally more subtle or more aggressive like top water hits?
