Absolutely, and the thing I didn’t mention, but should be commended on the Reximus is that it’s based on a really old design. So it really holds up very well.
@@fcfinch8931 I totally agree. The only other thing I would add, is that New Age, although legends scale, really knocked it out of the park with emulating the cartoon G1 aesthetic. No one has even come close with the colors. Would love to see this on a masterpiece scale.
My reximus doesn’t appear to have the tail/head connection, it ends up solid (which i prefer). That said, the real takara version has two more gimmicks you didnt mention that you could check for on your reximus. If you open the mouth, then squeeze on the sides of his jaw, his mouth is spring loaded and will close. the other one is fidgety. again in trex mode, if you his head is looking down and you push his body straight down into his legs, it will push his head up.
I have GigaPower. Its really nice but I had to remove it from my collection because its just too stylized for my G1 shelf. All of these are too stylized in my opinion. I wish they would make an MP scale G1 Grimlock similar to what Newage or Magic Square have made in Legends scale.
This may be controversial, but overall, I'm taking FT Grinder simply because of the ankle tilt. It's a shame, because I think in pretty much every other aspect, the other two are just better.
I am in a similar boat as you, simply because FT hides the tail completely in the ankles. It’s a small aspect of the design that makes a good deal of difference.
In dino mode, the Gigapower's neck is too long/thin. It makes him look like a cross between a t-rex and a sauropod. He's nicer when displayed in a stretched out / lunging pose (with jaws open wide) - that better suits his proportions.
That greatly depends on what line you are collecting. I only review Masterpiece grade figure on my channel for the most part. My video shows what each of these three options offers, and while Fans Toys did “win” by tally count, there’s a lot to love about each of these options. You really can’t go wrong with any of them… all comes down to what you want.
It’s a really solid entry. We need to remember that it’s based off the oldest design of the three, and it still holds up incredibly well, especially for the price!
I am a GigaPower guy but you can’t deny the value of Reximus. Definitely picking him up.

@@remmy1219 I regularly find myself cursing Legends figures for being as good as they are.
There is a shattered glass version of Reximus.

Great comparison
Whats the weights on all 3?

Hi excellent comparison. My Recimus Prime is blue, but yours is black

I agree for sure. GigaPower in general looks more slim and robotic to me than the other two.
Admiral knows FT is the best!
Which is the best g1 grimlock from transformers g1

if you want accuracy, theres probably a good argument for reximus
Reximus has my vote that’s what I own
❤... Shoutout to jmav David 😅
