The ONLY reason why this channel isn't at the top is because it has "CHURCH" in the channel name. Trust me, this is THE MOST RESOURCEFUL CHANNEL ON UA-cam for churches and ministries!!!
Today's issue is early! I was browsing Life Abundant's facebook when it 'popped up.' [The "show notes" doesn't give the url for "Fish-hoek". ] I an becoming the role at our church, but it is a very steep learning curve. I still struggle with some of the concepts. But if it weren't for Prochurchtools, I'd have given up long ago. The ideas that come from here are sooooo valuable. You stretch me - and it is a big stretch. The questions are good marketing ones too. My biggest problem is who to hand this role over to. I won't be here forever- I pray.
Street Pastor keep up the good work. It IS worth it and it IS so important. Perhaps you ought to pray for that disciple to train up underneath you. God will give if you ask...just a thought.
Where did you all get the stat "Only 23-25 percent of American show up to church 3 out of every 8 Sundays"? I know you all said it was coming from church leaders, but I'd like to be able to take a look at that study before I start quoting it around my church office. This is some powerful stuff, and I don't want to misrepresent it! Thanks!
Well then! Guess I'm also the communications director and head of video lol Smh I never even thought about that role. I just knew what we needed to do as a ministry as far as being online and marketing to be effective in connecting with more people. I knew how to do it from having my own business and just did it! Wasn't looking for a title, just wanted to put what I know to work.
Great information, but as a visual learner, I could have gotten more if you had used aids and charts in an outline form (perhaps what you were viewing on your phone)
100% disagree. In most churches, the communications departments and communications directors that I’ve seen are the bottlenecks. They cannot keep up with the demands of the simple every day task, and they will continue to say that they need to expand their department to accommodate the ministry. A better recommendation is to develop a marketing Point of contact in each department and let them communicate what is happening in their areas. The number one thing that I have seen in the North American church is that most people never know what’s going on and that simply because everything has to go through a “communications department“. I have never seen a successful communications department in the church world. In addition to this churches are following the wrong model which is they all trying to be like corporate America. The church is not a corporation. It is a ministry. If I had my way, I would have more militaryveterans working in the church simply because they know how to work in teams, and they know how to execute missions. Honestly, the majority of those in church work fail in the areas of teambuilding and execution, as well as leadership.
You should make an updated version of this video!!! Crazy how much more relevant this video is now more than ever before.

Do you have a written job description document for a communications director for churches? This would be such a helpful tool!
I literally laugh every time Brady says "smash it" at the end of the videos. I've seen every episode and I still laugh. Every time.
😇😇😇

We were just using our phones for the notes we wrote as talking points, but definitely hear you. :)
