Oooh yeah that is rough. I vaguely remember this edit. My first ABBA experiences were all on 8-Track. I wore this and “The Album” out, I played them so often.
I found that Columbia House didn't like to put fade outs on their 8-track tapes so the edits on their releases of ABBA' s material in the USA was usually heavily edited to "fit" on the 8-track format. Usually, if you just bought the Atlantic 8-track releases you would find a couple of songs with fade outs going from one track to the other. There were exceptions like the first Greatest Hits album which had "Bang-A-Boomerang" twice and only one song with fade out and fade in, which I think was "Another Town, Another Train."
Wow... that is such a clunky edit.
Mad that this was on a professional release

Was the Arrival album the only one they did this for, or were there others?
Abba on cassette. The only thing and the best music!
It's not a cassette, idiot. It's an 8-track.
