    I, Martin, can already sustain myself 100% doing what I love to do. If you want to support artists/organisations who have not yet reached that privileged position, please consider supporting other artists/organisations who need the support more. With that said, I have too many ideas and too little time and with your support I can get more help from people around me to execute the ideas better and bring them out in the world faster. I can't figure out why I'm so obsessed with Wintergatan all of the sudden. I feel like it's because I'm experiencing some really big changes in my life, and the music really connects with the emotions I'm having? I think the best music is the kind that means something different for everyone, even without words, and this is definitely it.

    • @JB52520
      @JB52520 7 років тому +11

      Especially without words. I find that true of the Cocteau Twins. There are "words", but it's more like when you're daydreaming and not paying attention to someone, then you can't remember what they said. Like being hypnotized. Check out Blue Bell Knoll (original if you can find it, not remastered). Changed my life forever :)

    This song sincerely takes you on a journey. Depending on how I feel it takes me to a different place. Sometimes it's relieving, sometimes it's fun, sometimes it's scary. Though, it's almost always motivating. "Good" art is important to individuals for different reasons. It lets you compare your experiences with others and facilitates learning something new. I've used this track as a platform for discussion a few times and have always been delighted with the level of responses. I'm really glad that Wintergatan shared this with the world via the internet.

    • @Wintergatan
      @Wintergatan  8 років тому +285

      +NarnKar The end is straight R.A.T.M inspiration and Tom Morello especially... for the rest of the song it evolved from the first sligthly asiansounding intro to just become longer and longer. What i especially like with it is that despite the many parts and many passages it is somewhat coherent, like a train going at a steady speed on a train track towards something. That specific side of this song will be a leading light for all future songs. Thank you!

    Absolutely the best song on the album! Nobody else can make a better fourteen minutes song than you. Words can never describe completely how I feel when I listen to this. It's nostalgic feeling with unknown, strong power that pushes me forward in life, towards new challenges and new, unforgettable experiences. Thank you Wintergatan that you made this AMAZING song.

  • @charliecadet

    When listening to beautiful songs like this, it's as if I'm going across a once beloved emporium floating in the sky that was just repainted to blue and red, looking much more sinister, filled to the brim with shooting triangles and shards of reality, just to stop an evil being with a symbol for a face from claiming this dimension like he's claimed so many others, and losing the only thing you had to defeat him, and falling back on the power of your friends, who put their trust in you, to stop this horrible creature in his horribly twisted narrative.
    But that's probably just a coincidence.
    I guess that's how you tell someone has composed a great song.
