From Act III of Der Rosenkavalier by Richard Strauss, Zurich Opera 2004, Nina Stemme (Marschallin), Vesselina Kasarova (Octavian), Malin Hartelius (Sophie).
My God these are three of the best sopranos singing today, and I'm fortunate to have seen them-though individually- in other operas in the house. Wow and Wow: didn't realize they had all come together for this most glorious paen to the female voice. Kasarova was an INCEDIBLE Romeo in a D.C. concert opera performance of Bellini's "Cappuletti", Hartelius a divine Fiordiligi and Stemme a terrifying Elektra. But this just rocks! Wish I'd been there!
***** It sounds crazy alright, but I prefer a happy ending, and I wish there could be one for the Marschallin too. Maybe Cherubino from Figaro will find her and they will live happily ever after. On second thoughts, Octavian could *be* Cherubino.

I was there...and cried the whole performance. It was so heart-breaking good.
Божественная Нина , божественный Штраус!
I weep uncontrollably every time I hear the Final Trio from Der Rosenkavalier. Every. . . single. . . time.

Aaahhh Nina! No one swoons like her!
Brava Nina! U are the best !Amazing!
They should name their first child after the Marschallin - Teresito or Teresita!
