it is quite hard to classify this bands because personally i think Planet X is superb technically and melodically but in a prog scale other bands have a better prog metal essence and also tool has amazing song compisitions and structures with eclectic concepts but not as technically focused as other bands. anyway Good list and Thanks bro

Yeah, this would go to the top 10 in my book, along with Meshuggah, Klone, Beardfish, Aggaloch ( Yeah I know it's mostly black\dark folk, but still has got some epic prog elements in it), and ofc Gojira!
They largely sound the same, then you get to Seventh Wonder, and it has this 80s/RetwoWave/martial arts video game soundtrack/power metal sound. Definitely stands out from many others in the crowd.

Great list, it opened the doors to 3 bands are was not familiar with. I would through 'The Ocean' as a prog metal band onto the list. They are really amazingly technical and aggressive and if not familiar check them out.
Opeth is my favourite prog band of all time. I love their older stuff but I also like their new fresh style.
