Here is my review of a 2006 flight design ctsw light sports aircraft.
My opinion on this airplane (as a student pilot) is that they are fairly easy to fly i.e the panel and controls are simple. BUT these airplanes are so light that it becomes a workout just to keep it stable in the air, specifically when landing as you will see in the video. Once you are at lower altitude you we get tossed around quite a bit.
Hope you enjoy the video. Please SUBSCRIBE!

+justa crlon Sorry for the late response. For some reason, I'm just seeing this comment now. To answer your questions:
    1) What are what? if you're asking about the plane itself. It's a composite warcraft in the Light sport category You may even consider it an ultralight
    2) The plane has a max range of 974 Nautical miles which is close enough to 1600km. Comfort will honestly depend on the pilot and what FUN means to them. On a fairly windy day, it can be a pain in the ass lol.
Hope I was able to answer your questions. Again apologies for being late.

you re amazing man! this is the review i ve been looking for. but i still have two questions:
    1)what are those?
2)is it comfortable to fly 1600km all at ounce, in the ctsw, or is it a pain in the ass?
    Thank you

I just saw your video about the CTSW.
I fly a CT2K in France refurbished few years ago with a 100hp Rotax 912 ULS and new avionics.
I have the same opinion that you : She's pretty demanding in turbulent air, specially in final approach and landing.
Noisy due to the carbon and kevlar construction.
Beside that it's really confortable to fly long distance at economic cruise speed of 110 kts. (13l mogas/hour).
    Max cruise speed 135 kts.
(With an E Prop Durandal propeller)
    Stall at 34kts.
She needs a little rudder control all the time because the tail surface and distance was built too short on this model.
The longitudinal stability is excellent with large monobloc stabilizer and full lenght trim tab.
Important to mention that the carb deicing system is very efficient

Excellent review on this LSA. I didn’t have a chance to go thru more of your vids. Did you have a chancery review and fly more LSA aircraft?

The CTSW is OLD....you need to get into a CTLSi. They are completely different. The empannage in the SW is shorter and the rudder and elevator authority less effective than in the newer product. Also, the new planes are built with Dynon Skyview glass and Garmin GPS touch nav. The really new ones are all PFD/MFD/GPS touch glass.
The CTLSi is fuel injected no carb ice worries and computer conrolled. Also electric trim. The FD is also the largest cockpit in LSA....and has bulge doors and no struts for max views.

didn't find out much about the plane, cruising speed , stall speed, what engine it has, etc...sounds pretty noisy, lol

This year's model can be bought for $60k-$70k used. Newer models range from $150k and up.

No sound! Shame I really wanted to see this video.

My apologies for that. I'd removed a copyrighted soundtrack from the video but I didn't realize that UA-cam muted the entire video instead. Please check back in another hour and the video should be back up with original sound. Thanks.

Just finished watching it. Just wanted to thank you once more for making it happen. I've fallen in love with those CT's, in particular the CTLSi 2020. I Can't get enough of them atm!

Not a problem friend. I'm glad you enjoyed the video. I might make an updated video on the airplane with a newer model soon. Be sure to check back on the channel. Thanks :)

Why the whining about wind while flying. If you waited for calm days you would never fly. Thumbs down for complaining about the wind. So fly a heavier airplane.
