Cheap multi detector test - Parkside Lidl
Parkside multi detector - is it a tool worth having? You should always play it safe when drilling into walls; decorating itself is a stresful project and the last thing you want is to have a power cable or water pipe repaired afterwards. Even if you plan a little job like hanging a picture or a single shelf it good to check what is hidden in the wall or behing the plasterboard first to avoid costly mess.
If have a habit of ignoring manuals (as I do sometimes and expect everything to just 'work' out of the box) it's worth spending 5 minutes to read a manufacturer instruction to check how to calibrate the tool. I gave that a try and it shoul start working spot on!

Hi, great video, the instructions included are a bit vague! , but the AC finder works much better if the power is on and powering something, to find the wire to a socket you should plug something in like a lamp or vacuum cleaner and turn it on :-)

The AC finder works under load. Normal. Otherwise it is a simple wire(metal).
Its a nice detector. I had the previous generation and it worked very well for almost a decade or so.
Suddenly a week ago..it made some retirement noices until it stopped for good. :)
But overall it did it's job very well.

so if I understood AC finding correctly, the wire in this video example is located horizontally and not vertically, and thats why at horizontal line is a check mark displayed, right? I have finder with same options and same work modes but from Einhell, they function same way I think.

Two things to note here, it won’t work on plasterboard that has metal foil insulation on the back, also, I wondered why it just wouldn’t register on my living room wall, my wallpaper has metallic flakes running thru it , Doh !!

I have one but the stud finding mode is totally useless, it doesn't find studs and only beeps when you press it against the wall

The A/C test failed for me too.... This is the whole reason why I bought the Parkside 4 in 1 multi detector. I had to borrow a Bosch Truvo one from a friend. Utterly useless... buy cheap, buy twice

purtroppo ho riscontrato lo stesso difetto per la corrente 😕.
Sembra rispondere meglio con la corrente dc, ho provato con il cavo di ricarica dello smartphone.
Non so se fare il reso.

Per la corrente non funzionava perché il cavo non era collegato a un'utenza, quindi non è passata una corrente elettrica di una certa intensità. Lo strumento rileva la corrente, non la tensione elettrica.

Poco sensibile in generale, ma con la corrente elettrica inutile. Cambiato 2 volte ma sempre inefficace. Il basso costo lo definisce comunque alla stregua di un giocattolo. Non all'altezza della maggior parte dei prodotti Parkside.
