I did NOT make any of the art used in the thumbnail!
Always make sure to check out the original artists, there is usually more awesome art at the source! :)

"Oh wow a thorn bug! What a beautiful creature" you state as you consume it for its power
It's brother gets revenge and consumes him for his power, so it's ok.
Yeah I got karma'ed real fast...
R.I.P chasing wind. Never got rid of her sulphur infection over the most likely MILLENNIA between scugs.
Isn't it more like centuries or millennia?
@@gachakris2924 True, lemme change that...
I suspect what has happened here is short-term memory loss, and CW just keeps forgetting that, until their can will inevitably be damaged beyond repair... or outright collapse.
In other words, amnesia💀
@victoralexandervinkenes9193 Welp, I suppose it's now Canon that chasing wind was short-term memory loss. Thanks internet!
Considering that she's not much worried about it and remains fully functional all the time, this infection is nasty, but not very dangerous. So it's fine. Though, we may be truly sure only if the mod will be adapted to the Saint's campaign.
Fun Fact: Sulfates make up a majority of the "slag" iterators produce!
actually it seems to be just sulfur, since silicates are specifically said as silicates in general and sulfur is just sulfur
weird biology of processing strata excretes elemental sulfur i guess? or more probable, H2S is processed somewhere internally and sulfur is excreted
I love the subtle differences between the dialogues, like how the Gourmand is not a "little beast" but a "creature of your size".
I love that people are finally showing some love for more of the iterators and actually putting the sillies into the game. It's nice to see where people take them.
We first had the hunter expansion with NSH, and now there's chasing wind.
What's next, SRS?
@@sandraiaraaraujo8174 Theres actually a mod thats gonna add SRS and the region around their can.
The blue sparlking areas are just gorgeous and play so nicely with the golden interior! Tracks with the lore too, sulphur does burn with that same lovely shade of blue lol
we all can learn that chasing wind did not, fix the smelly issue
Iterator that stinks good:
me when the wind is chasing me (rain world reference):
me when the wind is grey: help me
I like how it had the same half organic, half tech vibe, as five pebbles, but the entire area seems healthier overall.
The water in the zero gravity area was quite a cool new thing for me. And as for CW themself, they seem to be quite a nice person, reminds me of Moon with a slight touch of pebbles because of the structural problems they have, though it seems to be a relatively minor problem, atleast when compared to pebble’s problem. Their structure stinks i bet though, sulfur smell sucks, trust me, i know.
How do you get to rain world stuff so fast UA-cam won't send a notification for a day how do you get there in one minute I don't get it gront teach me your ways
Gront please enlighten us
gront you BETTER reply to that person above me their name is SCAVENGING WISDOM. THEY NEED MORE WISDOM GRONT.
@@orenjinokawa Uh sure, I’ll try
@ScavengingWisdom You seek wisdom? Tell me why or what for then i’ll try to answer with the most enlightening words that fits
Just an FYI, Saint doesn't have support for Chasing Winds because region is unreachable in the first place. Saint lacks Pilgrim's Ascent, only having a few rooms of it from the Garbage Wastes entrance, which only link to a few rooms of Far Shore (The big drop) as a very small 5 room region set or so that is only attached to Garbage Wastes. The gate from Moon is completely unaccessible (I just assume a Leviathan broke it by bumping it at some point between Rivulet and Saint), same with Subterrain. I don't know why they chose to make Saint's campaign completely not reach the interesting parts of Far Shore, perhaps just avoiding a potentially buggy interaction between Saint's temp mechanics and the caldera (It would be odd to freeze to death in a volcano).
On a separate note, we already know where that "metropolis-esque" region links to as it's exit path from that CW gate. In the caldera of Far Shore, there is a region gate that looks to be a one way only gate, requiring having X Karma from the leaving side that we obviously can't interact with at this time. Notably, the only slug that can reach that exit only path as far as I know is Artificer. I also find it funny/interesting that you can do a modded region chain from Badlands > Mast > Scorched > Pilgrim's > Far Shore > Moss Fields > Chasing Wind now.
Saint's temperature mechanic is controlled by a room-specific effect that can be easily adjusted or disabled in-game with dev tools, so I doubt it would have caused any problems with the Caldera. -I think it's more likely that the creator couldn't figure out how to get the void sea connection to send Saint to Rubicon, or they just didn't want to fill every room with snow.-
Edit: I have been informed that Far Shore is fully accessible to Saint, including Caldera which does send you to Rubicon. I guess the Creator just didn't want to create Saint variations for Moss Fields and Chasing Wind for some reason.
You can explore Far Shore as Saint, it even has its own variant for them, you can even go for an ending in Caldera because I've done it before. The only change is the pipe to Moss Field's bridge in Caldera is disabled, making the region inaccessible to Saint.
What happens with Pilgrim's Ascent in Saint is it has been merged into a tiny sub-region of Far Shore, you have to just go right on the lowest level and you will naturally end up within usual Far Shore rooms.
Maybe it is a unique interaction due to having Pilgrim's Ascent installed? I arguably have not attempted to enter Far Shore from Submerged Superstructure as Saint so I cannot verify for you what happened there
i really enjoy myr’s work and regions although this one just felt very lack luster, a lot of people complain about the distance between the iterators and i completely agree with them, it just feels rushed. It was fun to explore nonetheless.
Just making a single region takes a huge amount of work and takes most modders a year or more. Just making more regions for making the distance greater would take a lot of effort, and just traversing all of them from left to right would become boring after a while. Even though the iterators feel a bit close together i believe this is the best the modding community can do. Myr making all of these high quality regions by themself is really crazy
@@ProffessionalMeower myr actually made moss fields in 5 months and cw in 4, they work pretty quickly and efficiently, thats why me and including others people hold high regard for their stuff since its so high quality yet efficient
im only complaining i guess because the cw region just felt too soon, and empty? barely any music, barely any creatures except the 2 cyans i saw in the anchor (i played hunter) i only ended up seeing one cyan from cw’s wall, it just felt strange it just felt lifeless for an iterator who seemed perfectly healthy
@@vividyon "perfectly healthy" is a bit of a stretch, considering that his leg seems to be overtaken by a very big tree, and the fact that sulfur is literally starting to grow in his memory conflux (probably not very healthy for an iterator. But yeah, i agree that spawns are a little lackluster, considering that there are usually a lot of creatures in iterator exteriors
Nice! Looks similar to the wall, also the new iterator is sick! Hopefully they add dialogue for saint soon.
Definitely has some similarities!
Will Saint be able to ascend CW...?
Saint flat out can't reach CW. Saint only has like 4 rooms of Far Shore. 3 of which are actually stolen from Pilgrim's Ascent leg.
@@michaelwatkins4155 that's good to know! Thank you for clarifying it :)
Do you happen to know about all the other slugcats?
@@NoPuddlesmaybe once the creator finishes the top of CW then we would be able to visit their collapsed can
bro exploring other iterators is probably the most cool thing that ive seen in modding
first the hunter expansion and now this?
also im assuming CW had that rot issue but solved it i guess??
Probably short-term memory issues, kinda like with LTTM, but worse
Wow! A unique iterator region? Neat!
I think that the karma gate for the unrealeased leads to the city atop CW, that's means that the next region will be the city atop CW.
P.S. CW is the shorter nickname for Chasing Wind.
i feel like the "yellow water" is a reference to thalassophobia mod idea..
I don't think that the water itself is yellow, but it seems like it because the rest of the iterator is yellow
@@HollowSlugg though ik its sulfur cuz he has sulfur infections and it prob turned yellow from the infection
It's always been my headcannon that Riv is from Chasing Winds Facility grounds, and now it makes even more sense to have the aquatic scug come from the iderator with water inside the can like that, and rivs pearl makes sense aswell, since it has the diagram of an iderator with areas highlighted (possibly areas infected with bacteria). Could have been sent to help moon after CW death?
No, Rivulet is canonically naturally evolved.
@@blackcat2333 They didn't say riv was created by CW, they just said that riv is coming from the facility, which does not necessarily mean it was created by CW, as riv could have been given the pearl when it stumbled into CW, or just could have just taken the pearl from a random place in CW's facility grounds
@@blackcat2333It'd be really stupid if rivulet naturally evolved
I headcanon that Rivulet is a messenger sent by CW to help Pebbles and Moon! So I am totally stealing the water idea!
@@N1rThesecond Yes, it would be really stupid if a creature was adapted to an enviroment where it rains near-constantly, i agree.
First NSH, now Chasing winds, my boi! At last! 😭
All I need to see is Seven red suns an possibly Unparalleled innocence then I can ascend myself.
Love how you just went 'ascend myself' as in 'die happily‘, because same, the RW lore brainrot flows DEEP. I need a SRS region now. Full local group when?
Would be interesting if you try having pebbles or past moon read the pearls and evilly try hitting CW
29:19 "hey I was reading that, don't eat it!"
Surv: no. **consume**
This is such an amazing mod!!! I love the blue and white exterior. Not a fan of the yellows inside, though, I exclusively associate CW with cool colors. But the WATER inside! I headcanon that Rivulet was CW’s messenger, so I am totally stealing that! Also… is the whole sulfur thing one enormous fart joke around Wind’s name? XD
I guess “moss fields “ is somewhat chasing wind’s equivalent to the outer expanse
I want to talk about a few things here...
33:13 i love how CW refers to Gourmand as "creature of your size" funny detail lol
42:48 i wonder how CW's Metropolis will look like? And i wonder if it will be eventually possible to enter their Metropolis? And if there will possibly be any Echoes or lore?
0:30 the environmental storytelling in this place is beautiful. It really does look like you got into a whole new region, far from the place you're used to
23:21 I wonder if that's even a problem for CW? Like, they don't even seem to care at all lol
24:05 if you pay close attention to the sound effects, you can hear the machine "alive". This also happens in FP's superstructure, if you turn up your volume in certain rooms there you can hear FP breathing, I mean, He is a living thing right?
"Somewhere Beyond Five Pebbles Territory"
I've always had a headcanon that Rivulet eventually went through CW before the campaing actually started, I'm not saying that Riv is the slugcat sent by CW, but that before they got to FP's place, they went through CW. Which means that they took a loooong journey to FP. Which can be either natural, or they were sent by another Iterator (just a headcannon tho)
I wonder when Chasing Wind was built? I wonder what are their thoughts? I wonder if Saint could possibly ascend them? I wonder what's the lore behind CW?
I got even more questions than before😭
(Fun fact: I wrote this whole comment yesterday, but I was literally WAY TOO TIRED to just post it. I was eepy XD)
cant believe chasing wind got addicted to slime mold
I know Right? Smh
Oh yeah i just get this mod earlier but haven't gone there yet EHSHWAYAHAJ sure are big fanmade reigons for sure
Is CW interested in Rivulet’s pearl? The pearl that shows a schematic to FP’s energy rail?
Yeah. I went and checked it myself. he basically says not to give it to the scavengers and that it reminds him of his/ her/ there own structure. So yeah there you go if you’re still curious.
And holy shit they made chasing wind real
She be chasing on my wind
what a cool region mod! it would be funny if the sulfur actualy impaired you in some way from how smelly it is, though i doubt it would actualy be fun gameplay-wise.
Damn I’m not even 2 mins in and I’m hooked
Oooh, I can’t wait for the other area to be released, r u planning to to a video on that too 👀
Yep for sure! I'll be on top of anything that releases as far as I am able to :D
(I know its funny im saying this despite me being slightly behind schedule at the moment on recent releases xD)
yesssssss 🎉
Chasing wind is nice, i like him
Gah, I missed this one
modders waiting to release their best work right after raindb update
Do you mind if i ask what editing software you use and ask if its upfront payment or subscription based? Have been thinking on starting to make vids on rw stuff to but after I recorded some stuff I realized capcut wouldn't cap cut it.
I use clipchamp, but I can't really recommend it...
I would say try using DaVinci resolve, that seems to be the most commonly accepted good one
Thanks! I'll look into it and hope it's not too expensive lol.
@@Gaming_goblin1 it's free :)
@@Gaming_goblin1 just put A for all the personal questions the downloader site gives you if you don't want to answer them
@GoldballIndustries I don't know why an editing software needs personal info so thanks for the tip lol
In defense of the thornbug, I'd probably try to kill whoever stabbed me/my kind in the face as well
Is that how iterators use the water to flush out slag (or is Chasing Wind just trolling us?)
7am? Oof, try not to kill yourself with these mods 😅
Haha yeah thats fair, that first death especially was definitely some karmic justice xD
I wonder if this will be in the watcher dlc
Probably not if I had to guess, as I don't think the whole set of mods is complete yet.
If it gets finished though, maybe...
Can you make a video just all modding areas and putting them to the same map? I think it could be great if we can see the whole world with modding areas
I wish it was possible, unfortunately regions have a tendency to conflict with eachother, and even if they are carefully picked so they don't conflict, the game becomes very unstable :(
@@lolight2 thank you, actually, we have the set of region like Garbage Waste - Pilgrims Ascent - The Leg - Scortched District - Metropolis - Moss Field - Chasing Wind. So potential that you can make contents on that :3 hope to see
isn't this basically just enot erratic pulse
Why was i thinking abt thornbugs waiting at ur door next cycle to beat u up?😂
Also why the grapple worm beef?
What mod do you have that allows you to slide constantly without slowing down? Or are you just good at the movement?
Simplified moveset :)
Thank you
do they react to things like the scavking mask?
What do the thorn bugs do?
murder :(
My wall is not blue, it looks exactyl like tehe other wall
noted. don't go there as artificer
:O
