Even if its a one off, hearing your voice just ramble about cards makes my day just a bit better. What ever you do next, videos or just living life, I wish you happiness
After making at least 3 people listen to the incredible “whaaaaat?” at 53:49, I decided that I have to let you know how absolutely incredible your videos are. I have watched every one of them religiously and I always learn so much. They are unmatched - nothing even comes close. And the sprinkling of humor here and there is just *chef’s kiss* Thank you, it must’ve been an enormous effort to make all the videos🙏🏻
Good to hear from you! Literally just a few days ago I remembered your videos and wondered if you’d ever make another! Always enjoy your thoughts on Dominion.
Hi, love your videos and glad you decided to make a video randomly! Would you consider doing videos on all the cards from where you left off but just way shorter to cut down effort on your end?
Not sure if I will ever go back to single card videos that go extremely in-depth, they are a lot of work, any video would be most likely some unplanned thing where I just ramble on about multiple cards. But only if I can drum up the motivation.
You mentionef having designed some intresting sets of kingdom cards. I would love to see them. I tend to play with random selections. Would live to play domthingbthat has been crafted.
As I understand it, the reason Victory cards largely went by the wayside is printing limitations. Victory cards need to be printed in sets of 12, which crowds other kingdom card piles out of the print runs. As for Taskmaster and Crew, they do happen to work pretty well together - you can always use more draw, and as long as you have a way to start your turn with one card of draw, you get a Crew and some extra actions to play it. Ghost Town or Caravan makes a great counterpart for it. I recently played a game where I just focused on getting five Taskmasters in play and didn't care about the rest of the quality of my deck, because I could coast to the end by doing nothing but buying a Duchy every turn. I definitely can't argue with any of your opinions on the sets, and it's good to get a perspective on some of the recent expansions since your previous videos.
You mentioned playing some kingdoms solo. Do you have any guidance on how you do that effectively while also maintaining the player interaction elements? My wife tends to dislike playing dominion so it’s difficult to get to the table, but I’d love the opportunity to play solo.
Ah, sorry, I think when I said solo I was thinking of a single expansion on its own rather than 1 player Dominion. The best alternative I have for solo Dominion is to play against the bots on the Dominion app on Steam and Android (and should be on iOS around Christmas). It has a really good AI opponent.
I’m a new player and have mainly played the base game online. I just ordered the physical versions of the Seaside + Plunder + Base Game Cards (small box). The sets looked interesting and I figure this will be as thematically dense as I can make it, which is a plus for me. Maybe I’m just a simple person. 😅😅
Just started watching your videos. Perhaps you love Dominion as much as me. I've owned it since it first released. I can't believe I still play it. It's not the game that got me into the hobby, but it sure is going to keep me in it. By the way, out of all the expansions Cornucopia is my favourite (never heard anyone else say this). Second is Allies. And, believe it or not, Seaside ranks poorly for me. I just don't like duration cards very much. Anyway, just letting you know I appreciate your video work!
In this case, a set of Copper, Silver, Gold, means one copy of each. So when you look at your cards at the end of the game, set aside 1 Copper, 1 Silver and 1 Gold, that's one set. Keep doing this until you don't have enough of those cards. So if you had 7 Coppers, 4 Silvers and 3 Golds, you would have 3 sets, as you don't have enough Golds left to make a 4th set.
The thing about dominion base set is t hat its the vegetables of dominion. not super interesting, and i will not go out of my way to play it most of the time, but when its there, it is a really good addition

So nice seeing you and hearing you talk about things other than individual cards too! ❤
Just watched the entire video and I loved it!

This felt like a very early Christmas present. Thank you for the video.
All good, make a vid tomorrow, make a vid in 6 months. Not everyone gotta be content heavy.
Looking forward to Dark Ages 2e, i believe that's next in line.

Would love to hear your opinion on Cornucopia and Guilds 2E

a true gem of a video!
I think a second edition Alchemy would only really work if it's reworked as a big expansion with many new cards and some of the old stinkers replaced

Funny, Dark Ages is my favourite expansion together with Nocturne and Seaside :D

Actually, I haven't understood the concept of palace because I dunno what a " set of card" means even with my german version.
