When I started this game i had to think long and hard between maxing saladin or richard. Thank god i chose saladin and he maxed. My most used commander. Love the speed and utility and tankiness. He is the only cav with hasty departure, and rejuvinate for a few points in support. This lets you get the cav tallents. The result is a very mobile , tanky rage engine that can slow and cut down healing. Saladin is a no brainer. Just look at this review, you can pair him with anyone and dominate.
I was playing around with my talent builds but needed another opinion it was comforting to see that the open field talent tree I had chosen was the same, gives me reassurance lmao. I had also picked up the 3% attack boost and damage reduction from strongholds which I feel most people overlook
I took second place in a Saladin MGE and took him to 5551. He's been a great add to my lineup and cannot wait to get him to lvl 60 and expertise him. Thanks for the great video! This really helps put me at ease knowing I made a great choice.
Chisgule you're my favourite so I'm giving you this suggestion. Make a video about what commanders you need to max as a garrison leader and what you need for a rally leader.
I have 2 T5 accounts and play Saladin differently on each account. On the big "main" one, Saladin is maxed, and I do use him to rally cities, although as you mentioned his utility for that purpose falls off once Attila/Takeda enters the picture. Still, he does a pretty good job at rallying cities (and other targets, too). Saladin/Khan (or reverse) is still one of the best field battle combos in the game. On the other account, I don't typically run rallies with that one. I use a "field Saladin" configuration - 5/5/5/1 on the 2nd one. As you've mentioned in previous videos, this requires many, many fewer gold heads but gives you most of what you want out of Saladin in most situations. I go almost a F2P config with this one, pairing with Pelagius for a tanky cav march with huge rage regen, and it does work very well for field battles. Given the differential in head investment between the 2 accounts, I would recommend the 5/5/5/1 config for 95% of players out there. He only needs to be expertised if you're a rally leader, I think.
@@mgoz2880 I'm using Cao Cao with Minamoto and Pelagius wit Saladin, Saladin primary. Saladin and Pelagius actually have fantastic synergy. Pelagius adds rage regen and gives extra healing and defense to make the march even more tanky, and they machine gun nukes. Try it out, it's fun to watch. I won't use Pelagius in any other case and I generally don't use epics much anymore aside from Sun Tzu, but it's really a good combo, especially for mid-low spenders or FTP who don't want to invest a ton in a second cav march

@@mgoz2880 I'm actually not a huge fan of Mina Pela, they don't have a great deal of synergy IMHO. Pelagius is good for making a tanky cav march, which works well with what Saladin is trying to do. Mina and Cao, on the other hand, were made to go together. I'm not saying that Saladin and Cao don't go well together - they do. It's a good combo. What I'm saying is that Saladin and Pelagius fit together like a glove. They are trying to do many of the same things, mostly things that create a tanky march. Cao is not making the march tanky, he's doing other things. Also keep in mind the investment. I'm doing it this way on the 2nd T5 account because that one isn't the one I invest the most in. Yes, I have max Cao on it, but I'm doing other things with him, and he pairs better with Mina anyway. Like I said, Saladin Pelagius is a great combo for someone who doesn't want a huge investment into the march. Maxing two legendaries is a MUCH bigger investment than 5551 legendary with an expertised epic.
Started working on him recently after finishing Wu, I have him at 5/5/2 already, guess I should be good. Also 16:08 - I can't agree more to this, I can NEVER just leave a half-assed commander and start spending sculptures on another one...I'd much rather have a smaller pool of usable legendary commanders who are absolutely jacked.
Please reccomend to Lilith to just remove this patch I get that it’s to prevent botting but imo healing bots are really not a big issue cus by being in an active alliance you get the same effect anyway. IMHO they should revert this change until they have a solution that doesn’t cripple ftp.
Great video Chisgule. Saladin is definitely in mine top 3 must have commander (with YSG a d Alex of course). He just has so much utility, tank, rallying cities + garrison in some scenarios.

My favorite legendary cavs commander. He may not be as strong as Khan or Attila but he is very balanced overall. He is top 2 or 3 in every situation. Saladin in a sea of khan or Minamoto and he never gets touched.

I want to set up my marches like this as free to play, dunno if it's good: Alex(expertised) Richard(5551) Constantine(5511) YSG(expertised) Charles(5344) Sun Tzu Khan(5511) Takeda(5551) Saladin(5551) Baibars/Mina/Cao I'm not really sure if khan takeda is good(along with the other pairings).
I highly recommend Alex and Guan. Richard/Chuck/Constantine are all great in ark/sunset but less ideal for dealing severe wounded. Alex and Guan are the damage makers. Baibars is only decent in ark, sucks everywhere else. Khan/Takeda is surprisingly awesome.
Chisgule would you be able to explain how a trap account works because I would love to be a trap account in my kingdom and for for kvks, my kingdom is 30-40 days old so we don’t have all the important commanders you have in your kingdom so if it’s possible would you be able to make a video on how to be a trap account?

Upon collecting a gathering rune/title/boost, will the speed of already started gathering team increase as well? or is it like building/ training, their effects only kick in prior initiation of construction and training? Thank you? really appreciate your help
For gathering rune it'll increase the speed of your gathering troops even during your farming but only if they gather the tiles. They dont give effect for the troops the you've already been sending to the Alliance Resource Center. And I'm not sure about titles and other boost.
Both are good commanders but i think you can pair more commanders with Saladin. Khan lacks defence but if you pair him with a commander with defence then he is great.

Khan deals more damage and saladin stays longer in a fight but if khan and saladin fight 1v1 then they almost die the same time but saladin often survives the fight. And saladin does'nt have to be max to be really strong in the open field a 5511 saladin is really effective in a fight but khan must be ecpertised to show his true power i have a max khan and my friend has a 5424 khan and he was dissapointed what his khan did in war. Khan's expertise also makes hin deal more damage that's why he must be expertised to deal it faster then other commanders.

I don't think rallying cry is worth it. In 10 sec, you cannot fire one active skill even with undying fury. 15% damage bonus would just affect normal attack. For commander dealing mainly normal attack, it might makes sense. For skill focused commander, it is not worth 5 talent points.
What primary do you recommend for Fredrick? Been using CC. I’m f2p and I upgraded him early and I absolutely NEED to use him. Not many legendary commanders.
Assuming you haven't invested in both Saladin and Khan yet, go with Saladin imo. Saladin is more versatile, Khan is just about DPS but in reality people just swamp you on the field (especially when they see Khan) and Khan can't take multiple hit unlike Saladin

Assuming you haven't invested in both Saladin and Khan yet, go with Saladin imo. Saladin is more versatile, Khan is just about DPS but in reality people just swamp you on the field (especially when they see Khan) and Khan can't take multiple hit unlike Saladin
Dale Carlin I have Saladin and Khan both expertised paired them with Cao or Takeda as secondary... I still prefer Khan/Cao or Khan/Takeda for PvP.
