This is the kind of good journalism America used to expect. When I was in school for journalism a Network like Fox would never have been allowed. I'm not sure what happened to the FCC but fox is out of control.

Germany isn't doing so great either, I see. Both our countries have huge polarization and immigrant problems and nationalists and fascists to contend with who are extremely vocal and loud. i am German, but lived in the USA for 8 years under the obama administration.
my father was forced to fight in the war under hitler during the 2nd world war. he often told me how well he was treated under the captivity of usa soldiers, especially colored us soldiers, in contrast to the SS rule in Germany.
I am speechless, dissapointed every day when I watch the US news coverage and see how stupid, naive and falsely patriotic almost 45% of US citizens are. that's exactly how it started with us under Hitler. with racism, propaganda and violence and the undermining of the government.
In my opinion, Lawrence is one of the best journalists of our time and i love to lisson to him every day. wish we had journalists of his caliber in germany to.

There needs to be strict term limits on Federal Judges! Lifetime appointments are immoral!

The way the times and things change throughout one’s lifetime should keep someone from a “lifetime” appointment. It’s insane when you think about it.
Lifetime appointments present a temptation that people find hard to resist. It gives them a sense of being untouchable. Few people have the strength of character needed to live up to that kind of trust.
Federal judges are powerful, and the SCOTUS is MORE powerful than the President in a way.
and why arent WE, THE PEOPLE voting them in????
