Nice Nav! Not many people have respect for the d22’s but they are reliable workhorses. Just like mine!
Good on this bloke. It’s a nice car, capable and comfortable. It goes against many other modified episodes where the mods are worth 10x the cost of the car. Good to know you can still get out there without remortgaging your house. No need to have every mod under the sun, unless you like the wank factor.
Cvas V I had to give you the thumbs up cos you mentioned the wank factor 😇
iv honestly watched this video 5 times just pulling ideas from this guys car haha.
Old mate had a pretty dynamic personality
what a champ. DIY Roof Rack looks awesome better then paying 800+
Wow, that's a proper D22! Great DIY work! Thanks for the vid, Ronny!
Just recently driven my 2.5 str navara with no engine mods from geraldton western Australia all the way to Melbourne Victoria.not one problem. Cost was $800 for fuel food and 2 nights accomadation and took 4 days.
I think this is an nice combination of bought and installed, and DIY stuff yet so far in this series. Trailer makes for a nice touch.
+David Genthner Jr yep I'm a big fan of DIY stuff
Great video Ronny, absolutely love your content, got a notification this morning that you had a new video out and couldn't wait to get home and watch it. Also what and amazing rig!! Keep up the good work mate
Sick D22... mine will be like it someday. Im getting there!
It's 2 years later, did you get there?
I need to know if he got there
Probably like me nah
Have a 2013 D22. This is exactly what was needed. Thank you. More about the clutch would have been helpful.
Thats a mean navara!!!
Beast navara!! Love my d22 and never want to get rid of it😍 “mines a 3.0 but”
Trueaussie nothing wrong with the 3.0 d22 mate, i had mine for 6 years and give it hell, never let me down once
Impressive squat hold 3:06-4:03
bali scooter mechanic in previous life
I could certainly have my nav on this series if I was over in WA, done all these mods and more (apart from the tray as I've set my tub up the way I like). Nice nav mate :)
I highly request them all! Awesome stuff. I really like his tray setup.
I’m 10 minutes through the vid and the yep count is already at 207
This is great 4wd mate, d22 is the best
That's one proper built d22. We've got them here in Canada as well, but bloody hell thats a proper truck. Nice job to the owner. Done my way!
-Pidge
Looks cool but done on the cheap.
Kontrasts...sure Kuntastain. You know. 🙄
What's your point? Before you insult me actually do some research into the brands seen on the vehicle in discussion. Majority of the brands on there are cheap Chinese shit - companies like AdventureKings are making Australian businesses go bankrupt (ie. Black Widow) because they offer awful quality and therefore cheaper alternatives. There were 2-3 things on this vehicle that the owner couldn't even name because he "Got it from Supercheap Auto" or "from eBay". Grow up champ.
i dont know about you but id rather pay for a $84 awning from kings then a awning from ARB etc worth triple the price.
Congratulations on your 250th video Ronny!
+The 90's 250 videos didn't even notice that 👍
3 weeks in a swag wow. solid effort lad. Awesome rig
Another great video mate and what a awesome Navara.
Awesome that he did most of the upgrades himself. Just need an egr block off . Would definitely get a secondary fuel filter, stop ur expensive injectors from getting rooted .
Ronny, I just bought myself an LN106 Hilux that I have big plans for and I would love to see one on your modified series to get some ideas. In regards to this video, this has to be one of the best set up Nav I've seen, looks mint!
very well set up Navara Nathan, great review Ronny
Yep
Wow, the fact that, that bumper is a factory option is mind-boggling. Wish that was something available in the US.
"Good thanks mate. Yourself?"
".....alright...yeah"
Haha a little bit awkward there my friend
Bruh I felt that.
Ronny: What’s the worst thing about your Navara?
Dude: Working on it.
Bruh have to remove half the truck just to change the clutch.
Love the videos ronnie. Have to be the best, i have got a lot of inspiration from watching the modified series but i would like to see more 80 series please. Thanks heaps. Love the vids keep up the good work.
Nice. Don't have to spend big bucks to get out there.
Incorrect Goodz. The snake racing UCA’s are 850 bucks mate.
I know this. He also doesn’t have a snake racing suspension kit. He has a 2 inch tough dog kit with extended snake racing UCAs.
Derp ofcourse. If he bought that kit though. It’s quite expensive. As I bought a tough dog 2 inch kit minus torsion bars for less than 1100
Very efficient vehicle with great mods.
The standard nissan bars are made by arb manafactures
Just what I needed this morning 👌 Keep it up mate
That is a beast of a nav nice truck looks nice and capable of taking on hard challenges do another d22 one rhonny love d22s
Great looking rig keep up the awsome videos ronny
Love the camper addition.
Hey Ronny, another great episode! Would be awesome if you came across an old Gen 1 Hilux or 4x4 of an older era for the Modified series. Seeing someone who has put in a real labour of love with their wagon.
The best channel on youtube
I like this cool as. Good work horse great formcamping!
Just bought a 2015 navara and glad to see it in action here . There are No gauges in the standard vehicle , was wondering what should be installed to safely tow a Jayco swift off road caravan. Only want to do light 4x4 work and possibly interstate long distance travel .
THANK RONNY WAS GREAT DETAIL VIDEO AS GOOD SET UP ON SMALL TRUCK LAND OUT
Legit at 22:00 i thought I accidentally clicked on another video. A “how to video” when that song played 😂
I've never seen having your UHF frequency on the back before, but it is a really good idea
Dump pipe off the back of the turbo my dude. Worst friggen part of the whole car... didnt even know i knew so many sware words. Learnt how hard i could peg a spanner to 😂 come out the other side with a few skinned knuckles and cuts. Not much room to get those rear bolts between the turbo and the wall, open enders for that job. Firgured out later on the 2nd dump pipe and turbo replacement (3inch/20psi) that if you remove the catch can and airbox and prefit the dump onto the new turbo before it goes in you can bolt the dump to the turbo out of the car and than twist it in with everything removed away from the manifold. Mungrel job.
Im keen for a dmax ronny!
cool to see an older Triton? 2005 or so, love the episode
Love the birds in the background don't hear those ones here in the States
G'day mate!!! Interesting wildlife at 6:35!!!
That's a Magpie.
I love this car . I had one with gasoline engine 2.4l 160 horsepower it was sand Quine .
I live in the US and I wish we could get trucks like these here. We can build trucks up similarly but they don't have nearly the same thought and utility put into them
I have one of these nav’s and I can tell you the reason you don’t see many getting around off road is because they are criminally under powered.. i had to get chip and exhaust just to make it acceptable otherwise it didn’t want to take off on the road let alone sand or mud
i would love to see another navara d40
Good stuff. My D22 is modified heaps and it goes everywhere. i spend my time hauling out hiluxes and jeeps haha.
excellent video. nice truck.
like the the part that you included the trailer.
keen to see a set up LC200 and even better if it was chopped!
What about the d40! Get one on asap ronny! A lot of people would froth over it.
Wish I could put a photo of my D22
Great Video
Well Sorted D22
No flex at all in the front. Solid all the way if you are doing some off road.
Ronny I love to see a Landrover Discovery 3 or 4
Why? There is enough on Flatbed Trucks to check out.
Hugh Jazz is the landrover thing a stereotype, because it unlikely to see a landrover have problems before 320,000km or 250,000miles
Bahahahaha, now thats funny!
Pls read on: landroverhell.com/
Hugh Jazz that’s one occasion if you know how to service it properly eg. Bearings, oil, filters They last a long time with out any problems. For example my old disco 2 had 293,000 miles on the clock when I sold it 12 years ago still today it is running with 370,000 with no records held by the driver vehicle licensing agency of it breaking down or any mechanical problems, my current disco 4 is at 100,000 no issues though it is barely worn in yet, my off roader defender 110 commercial is at 470,000miles all original parts I’ve owned it since new in 1995. That thing has not even spluttered to start in a heavy freeze
Enjoy your Computer Controlled Air Suspension
The high failure rate of the Becker BM Radio module
The poor choice of wheels and tires
Auto trans failures
But you are a Land Rover lover, none of this matters to you, you bought the story and promotional material.
Nice family town car, but as far as off-road or remote travel, No Thanks!
Hottest modified build
Do another Nissan Navara D40 , Cheers Ronny.
Ronny in every modified episode from now on, can you please just review a different 100series (or re-powered 105series) 1HDFTE cruiser? That would suit me just fine haha
There's a wobble in his right front weel!
I use a 3 x 3.5m awning, that my mate found on the side of the road, and SOMETIMES, there ISN'T ENOUGH shade❕
I had a navara years ago was the whorst pickup in Argentina for this reason hilux it's the best it's imposible to broken
For what reason was it the worst?
Great vid.
Nice job on the Navara, a real beauty, sensible budget build, hows your gvm?, would be pretty close i'd imagine
Good question
great content. really enjoyed this episode. A pj/pk ranger would be great to see.
A subaru would be awesome
good
Are pop up camping trailers common in Australia? They're everywhere in the U.S. and cheap. But for some reason overland guys buy $1500 roof tents or $5000 "cool" trailers. Not sure i get it. If it's ground clearance, that's a pretty easy mod.
Perfect setup! "Yep"! Haha.
Please 2005 - 2015 lux, and explain what bodywork is needed to fit big tires!!
You should get Musa from Aussie 4wheelers with his sick GU Patrol on this show
+gullf1sk been chatting to him just need to get over there somehow
Ronny Dahl aha awesome!
Ronny. Please Find a XJ cherokee Petrol version. Would love to see one modified.
Using the tie down points as recovery points. Sure way to kill your mates or an innocent bystander. Rated recovery points aren't optional, there're a necessity and they're relatively cheap to buy.
How about a collab or featured vehicle with Brett from " roaming the outback"?
Would be good to get your old hilux on Ronny
Plus 1 for the Dmax but wont hold my breath
Would be great to see a old style bt50 or ranger
What type of snorkel is that? It’s different from the others I’ve seen.
Please do a fj45 series cruiser ;)
Nice work. Please do a G Class professional!
Comon Ronny, nice hoodie but time for some new jeans lol
+New Zealand Earthmover I agree need a new wardrobe for filming hahaha
Hey, whats your honest opinion on getting one of these for your first 4wd, im looking to buy at 3L Turbo diesel one made in 2006 and will mostly use it for longish trips and not a lot of hardcore 4 wheeling just so i can get started and learn!
Go the navara str 2.5er....do your mods and get out there.
Is the use of canvas/vinyl for the sides of the box just for keeping the weight down? It seems odd to have a metal grid door, and and the cover, vs just having an aluminum or steel skin on the door.
some advice to raise the front suspension
Really enjoying your channel Ronny, once again another great clip! Since we are taking requests (lol) can we get some Triton's in the mix please mate? MK's, MN-ML's etc? Cheers mate
Dmax next . Cheers ron
Can you please do a 90 series prado for the modified series i need a bit of inspiration
How does everyone find the d22’s off-road capabilities with the torsion bars and etc? For a touring/ weekend warrior vehicle ? TA
Yep.
Where did he get his canopy? How much did it cost?
Any idea how much the custom tray or something similar will cost to make...preferably down in NSW?
Good vid. Can you get a Mitsy Challenger PC tourer on?
can you to more land cruses single cab or troopy cheers
60 series cruiser
