I had this as well years ago. It also presents as an intermittent issue with the central locking. So sometimes it works and then sometimes it doesn't. This is an excellent guide. For anyone without the correct tools I suggest that you unwrap the black automotive tape covering the wiring loom. As shown here you should see very obvious corrosion on this wire. Also it is possible (just much more difficult) to do this without removing the seat or seat base. When you repair the wire make sure to use a quality heat shrink or it may simply corrode again.
Thank you for uploading this fix, it was causing my hazard lights to go off in the middle of the nite then went on to set off the horn, so a BIG THANK YOU SIR!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for uploading. I also found this wire to be causing intermittent locking issues and leaving indicators on too. Cut and re made the connection and seems ok now. Great video, helped me fix the issue. ❤

The red wire with blue stripe do you know where the extra wire goes .you had the break in wire due to corrosion but they wire has another end as per your video.
Ha brilliant. You seem so confident when attacking these sorts of problems. knowing there was a wire connection 3 inches under that tape really speeded up the diagnosis without a diagram.
Thank you. I didn't know that was there, pure luck that bit. I was expecting it to be rotten somewhere very annoying like right in the middle of the floor
Hi I have a problem with the left front door not opening but the rest all works,it's as if the lock is jammed,it used to open up and now it refuses,I was told to replace the lock, how do I open it to replace the lock, pls advise me

What is the diagnostic tool used in this video?
Central locking does not unlock drivers door T5
why dose a wire that does not more break ?
