- In this episode review of Transformers: Rescue Bots Academy season 2, we're taking a look at the episode "Rescue TEENS". Where a group of teenagers try to follow in the Recruits footsteps, only to discover that those are some big feet to fill!
I still cannot believe that Rescue Bots is in the same continuity as Transformers Prime, their tones are so different

@@stevebishop5323 I'm not trying to shit on rescue bots especially cause I haven't seen it yet but, it is on my list, but with TFA you can feel the passion oozing from the show but, Rescue Bots feels like a solid attempt at a kids show not bad just.....not ground breaking
Tip of the day: Never impersonate an emergency service worker. It is actually illegal and it could result in fines or even jail time, depending on the laws by state or country.

I disagree. The show is good and it is not shit. It’s fine if you don’t like the show. But just because you think that it’s shit doesn’t mean it shouldn’t exist. I’m glad it exist and so are most fans. Many other people like it or at least are okay with it. It’s only a minority that hates RBA. If you miss the old show, then hey you are free to watch. You should be glad that Rescue Bots had four seasons. I do agree that the older bots look like crap.

And I hate Optimus voice. Anyway I disagree with you about the show being shit. It’s wonderful and that my opinion. I respect yours though. And you can wish what you want, but too bad. There are fans that are wishing for TFA season four, but Hasbro is not going to make that happen. Maybe a reboot of TFA (hopefully as good). Again, just be grateful that RB lasted for four seasons. Most Transformers don’t last that long. Hasbro want to move on regardless if you or I or anyone else wants to move on and keep the previous Transformers. You can write fan fiction of RB where RBA never exist it.

Well, there was that one episode back in Rescue Bots where Blades looked like a human. But his size and inner cybertronian parts still worked (com-links, tranformation).

Also, this is the first time human counterparts of robot characters are separate and not the same ones.
This also marks it the second Hasbro product, the first being Equestria Girls, with separate humanized duplicates of the characters.
Actually, it not the first time transformers have human version concept. They call it as holoform and they actually did this a lot like in the comic and in the past rescue bot version....
I wonder if Hooks has a fear of dinosaurs, much like how Hoist has a fear of Dinobots.

@@sircharleston2712 that’s what I didn’t understand. People know who bumblebee is because of the Rescue Bots right?And the recruits did use their robot modes in other episodes. That’s why the guy would call Hotshot by other names. So is Bumblebee a star in town too?
@@MySkinnydip Actually they are only allowed to reveal themselves in griffin rock the first episode of season four of rescue bots show the old rescue bots reveal themselves but in other places the recruits need to remain in disguise it was the same in the old rescue bots

@@MySkinnydip Not even I saw the original I only saw a few episodes I watched a lot of RBA. The old rescue bots used to pretend to be robots until that episode still today no one ever revealed the secret which is really loyal of the griffin rock citizen I’m also surprised no one from other places even visits griffin rock but I should stop getting logical cause it’s actually great they made that

No, the Robots in Disguise version of Ro-tor was Male. He was recolor of Vortex from G1. In fact, the Commandos were all recolors of the Combaticons.

I like how when taking a picture they have teen Whirl and teen Hoist stand right next to each other and teen Wedge standing next to teen Medix. Well bot Wedge and Medix are standing next to each other and bot Whirl is standing next to Hoist.
Honestly, intresting note, would be that they could be recruit’s human partners similar to prequel series and prime, since this, Rescue Bots, Prime, and RID(2015) are cannon to one another due to a certain things.

Whirl is like a sister living with four brothers.
I know that's what I love about her and she isn't just a sister she loves them with her spark always helping them giving them comfort when they're hurt especially in the last two episodes she really helped hotshot she cared for the bot with all her spark such a good little girl

Three teams and we NEED all three to team-up and not just in A 10 Minute ep. It has to 30 to 40 minutes one.
But then we would have less episodes which means less story

@@luvblueybingoheeler3150 Yeah but then again we only were able to have two seasons so ten minute episodes gave us more to watch but they did mess some scenes which I was upset on maybe they could have a 40 minute movie I mean cyberverse has two that would make up for it I really wish they had a movie I would watch it
I just wish it was more fleshed out and it was longer, I still prefer the OG rescue bots and TF Prime and RID 2015
Wish it was 22 minutes. Some of the episodes should have been longer. Same with Cyberverse.

I kinda wish that Doc was a girl and not Digs. Obviously they did it for gender balance and the fact that Wes already looks like Wedge however, I think it would have matched Medix so much more! Having read head cannons and fanfics. Maybe they could have 3 girls and 2 boys? It _would_ show more girl power. But I can't lie, I really REALLY loved this episode!

@@s1br168 But it's sad to say she changed so much during the last half and it really upset me she was so not her I mean she laughed and tried to get everyone to laugh at hotshot during bot blog and wizard of botz and then in don't be alarmed, bot battle and one scene in space party she was so rude to him. It really upset me whirl seemed to go the opposite of the cute bot she was I mean she was really nice to the other recruits as well as hotshot but the way she changed like that really upset me. It was so unfair for hotshot at least the last two episodes repaired that but still I just wish they didn't make whirl more wedge It just really upset me
@@sircharleston2712 That is true but I saw it as Whirl finally getting comfortable with expressing her feelings and as for the episode bot blog the whole point of that episode was for her to learn that laughing at others isn't cool and luckily Hotshot being Hotshot didn't take it personally. Also it might just be me but I don't recall Whirl actually sayinh anything bad to Hotshot in wizard of bots or don't be alarmed or bot battle. Finally, I don't think Whirl meant to be mean to Hotshot in Bot Battle, she was just trying to find out why he was acting so strange I mean she is a detective after all.
@@s1br168 well in wizard of botz when wedge crashes into hotshot and he comes out muddy they laugh at him and whirl even encourages medix to laugh cause it was funny. I mean I feel sorry for hotshot he seems to be personally really soft and kind not willing to take back at any of his jerks throughout the series and whirl was rude to hotshot in the entire bot battle she was like a jerk but worse she even through a cube at him when wedge made fun of their team and she even enjoyed seeing hotshot get beaten up and in space party the way she was trying to ask what's wrong was like he was some crook It really hurt me watching it like she was forcing him to give the answer when she'd usually be really gentle

That would be rude if they did besides there job is to protect and that's what they did really proud of the recruits especially hotshot
hot shot has good leadership
Hotshot is the best recruit he has the best skills and the most kind wholesome bot on the team

@April Dawn Actually that's common Hotshot is like the main bot of RBA all the fans love and adore him and I defend him as well when the recruits are mean on him I immediately go like no this can't happen it's so unfair he only deserves love so yeah we all love the bot too

I always assume the recruits are like 13-16 in human years. I say they are in their early youngling years. I’m assuming that the rescue teens mirror the recruits age (if the recruits were human.)
I'm pretty sure there much younger like there are times where they act like little kids but also times where they act pretty mature

Yeah they seem to be like tween or early teens if they were humans. I put ten around 13-16 because they sound like teens. Maybe their voices mature before their bodies. They seem to be much more mature then that of 7 or 8, but not as mature as 17.
@@luvblueybingoheeler3150 yeah there definitely younger sometimes whirls voice can turn into a younger cuter one but she rarely does it also by the looks of the recruits I would say there probably younger than teens like sometimes there actions represent it

Yeah I say 12-13 in human years. It’s really hard to say because their voices say teens 14-20, but actions and looks say 11-13. I’m guess that their voices mature before they do.

I've just heard that the upcoming 3rd season next year will be the final season of Rescue Bots Academy which I think is going to be a shame that this will be the last we'll see of the Rescue Bots continuity

How did find it
I'm really upset with wedge's behavior throughout the episode when hotshot humbled himself he was like hotshot is that really you. it shows hotshot changed from a cube player who wanted fame turned into a great rescue bot where as wedge who was a decepticon is still being a jerk. I mean why couldn't he take hotshot as an example and change instead of being mean to him. But then again I guess wedge will never change cause despite his behavior he never ended up in a tough situation where as hotshot sometime has really harsh times. They could have at least made an episode where wedge would change himself
Yeah!! Could Wedge just become more friendly to Hotshot while Hotshot has some difficulty despite Hotshot change from cube player into "almost" true Rescue bot,but maybe Whirl could helping Hotshot & becoming his "best friend" after so many unfortunate moments yknow,and also those "Rescue teens" are cute & unique that they make Rescue bot recruits jealous at them & despite that the recruits would be forced ta helping those teens until they have need to review themselves,and even Hotshot now leader of the recruits for now...😁
Well Hotdog does look like Hotshot. I do wish that Wedge could be nicer, but come on he was an ex con. Of course he’s going to be a kinda of a jerk. He’s not always a jerk to Hotshot.

Has nothing to do with the episode, but has there ever been an episode where a Whirl with Hotshot and Wedge separately? where pair up. She has been pair a lot with Medix. I think in one episode with Hoist.
In things that go bot in night whirl and hoist are paired and medix has the most time. Wedge doesn’t but there are a lot of later episodes where whirl holds him by the arm cheers him and is super nice to him and kind but hotshot the clsest thing we had was botblog and that was whirl trying to get everyone to laugh at hotshot I mean there are sweet moments between those two but unlike the other recruits whirl seems to act a little strange like not as kind to him as she was to the others to make it worse bot battle just worsened those two’s friendship moments together it’s really upsetting how whirl behaves with hotshot now like some parts she’s like wedge so hopefully she’s nicer later but still I don’t understand why they made whirl behave like that and only to hotshot it’s like there trying to make whirl a jerk hopefully the final two episodes are better why did they make whirl so nice to the other recruits and behave not so whirl to hotshot in some parts it’s just sad to see even scorch had better moments
About that just watched the last two episodes I’m crying now I’ll explain why in the next review I’ll comment the link as well so you can see

Because they're outside of Griffin Rock. On an island full of weird tech, giant transforming robots seem like a lesser deal than they would be anywhere else. It's way too likely that someone would get interested and discover their secret.
