i thought the 'one altmode a day' rule was so he didnt over work his systems and permanently damage himself before his body could adjust to the new altmodes, i'm kinda thinking of how ambulon in mtmte could only turn into a left leg
That bellyflop Hotshot did while practicing his multichanges always makes me laugh! The whole segment is really funny! They have some really good comedic writers:) It would be great if the next Rescue Bots,if there is one,showing the recruits older and a little bigger, like Cody was,doing rescues on earth and space! But this is one epi I will watch over and over!
I got to agree they have a really awesome team RBA shine out when compared to other cartoons. But the one comedy that hurt me was the one in medix suprise where poor hotshot who didn't deserve to end up in that situation was pushed aside hurt and insulted while the other recruits who didn't even feel bad for him got to rescue chuck. like that was the most ironic humour in this entire series.
I'd say it's to get Hotshot ready to lead the next Rescue Bots team. If you look more at the context of the show in general and how certain episodes (like this one) focus on Hotshot, this assumption makes sense. While not taking Heatwave's place, Hotshot is following in the Rescue bot leader's footsteps. So, in a way, it's a next generation/passing of the torch scenario.

@@user-Erimej No, I haven't seen any episodes that back up my theory. I've only seen as far as episode 39. but just seeing the way certain episodes focus on Hotshot, it's safe to predict that they could make him the new leader of the new Rescue Bots. 😊 Only time will tell if I'm right.

Whatever the real reason for the limitation, it was likely for Hot Shot's safety. Heatwave getting a new altmode was draining on him, and he was already a fully trained Rescue Bot, albeit one without a Mul-T-Cog. Also, if they're not grooming him for leadership, they're at the very least training him to utilize the Mul-T-Cog to its full potential.
I hope there will be a season 3 of transformers rescue bots academy and I also hope slag aka slug and swoop and slash will appear in the series and I hope that grimlock slag/slug snarl sludge swoop and slash will transform in to their robot mode what will the dinobot's robot modes be will their robot modes be their generation 1 robot modes will they please say the dinobot's robot modes will be like their g1 robot modes

It's a huge shame they cancelled the show because I would have loved to see the recruits grown up, and what would have happened if Optimus revealed that he was grooming Hot Shot to become the next prime and the multi-cog that Optimus gave him was unique or something. And if he would have been paired with Cody but had to leave because he was training to become a prime and then be forced with a decision.

But I mean to lead a new era for Earth and Cybertron, you could have had him be the prime for a new show and maybe do a thing like with primal were it takes place millions of years into the future where maybe humans evolved alongside Cybertronians and we get to see what they look like then.

I cried watching this episode. It’s not as bad as the end of the first season when he left. But I still cried.
