Can you please do a review of the Penn Plax Max Flow canister filter? It seems to be a beast of a filter that holds a whole lot of media and I'd definitely like your take on it
I was going to getting to the competition But you put some rules and one of them I don’t pass my fish tank is 260 litres if change the rule I can getting 😅
The one I'mm giving away comes with 10kg of media and as far as I know the filters being sold by Urmston Aquatics has some sort of deal available when bought with media.
Just saying price is over priced massively guess if your the only ones with them then you can charge it at that price un fair but hay ho the world we live in
I'd be interested to hear what you think they are overpriced compared to? In this short video I mention that Urmston Aquatics has 20 of the 60 which initially came into the UK - therefore they are not the only company selling them in the UK but a 15 second google search lets me know that everyone else is selling for around the same price in the UK. A consideration should be given to the following before deciding what the Hypermax 4500 is overpriced compared to: 1 - The Hypermax 4500 is approx. £399, holds 10kg of media, has a pre-filter and has the ability to reduce flow rate as well as power consumption. It also has 2 x inlet and 2 x outlet. 2 - The Hypermax 4500 holds 2 x as much media as 1 x FX6 so it would take 2 x FX6 filters to get the same level of performance. 2 x FX6 will cost approx. £600, has no pre-filter, has no digital flow control and will cost way more to run. 3 -The Eheim 1500XL is approx. £565 and holds a similar amount of media. However, it is a pain to maintain (just like the FX6), has no pre-filter and lacks almost all of the other features found on the Hypermax 4500. 4 - The Oase Biomaster 850 is approx. £370 and holds over 5kg of media. It has an easy clean pre-filter. It would take 2 of the 850 filters (£740) to match the performance of 1 x Hypermax 4500. 5 - The Eheim Pro 5 e700 is approx. £400 and it would take 2 of them (£800) to match the performance of 1 x Hypermax 4500. Modern Eheim filters have wi-fi and other unnecessary features which add to the ridiculous cost. There are lots of cheap filters which will hold 5kg of media (e.g. APS EF2000) so doubling up on them would be a much cheaper option but the above examples are for quality filters. For what it is the Hypermax offers good value for people with large tanks who have not got or don't want a sump but like I mentioned right a the top I'd be interested to hear from you what the Hypermax 4500 is overpriced compared to since as far as I can see there isn't much comparable. I mean it's obviously a beast of a filter and you would be happy with it on any aquarium not knocking that as I would gladly pay £400 with media as all of the other filters fo come with sufficient media of a good quality

If this had been one of the companies who claim all sorts of nonsense and pay people to promote them I would have nothing to do with it. Likewise, if it had been a trusted manufacturer with a product I thought was crap I wouldn't ever feature it. Aquael offered me no payment to show this filter and if they did I would have turned it down. I did get an offer from a company selling the filter to give me kickbacks for every one that was sold from my video and I turned it down as I make nothing for featuring anything on this channel and that's the way it will always be as I will be impartial all the way. I can send you the email where I turned down the offer no problem. 99.9% of UA-cam channels will take the money and promote anything from whoever is paying them, show it in a video and sell it the next day on ebay but that will never happen here. Unfortunately most channels are vampires who do videos for the benefit of their bank accounts, not their viewers. You only take into Heaven what you give away. I'm quite happy to take (only) the products I believe are good quality and will benefit my viewers ........ if it's something I won't use myself then I'll give it away. You wouldn't believe the amount of comments I had during the give Hypermax 4500 away period from people who just wanted stuff for free or called me an asshole for placing a 300 litre tank limit on the competition requirements but I wanted this great filter (and the 10kg of Biohome media) to go to someone who could absolutely get benefit from it and use it on a big tank. It's quite ironic that a guy who commented on the give away video saying he wasn't going to enter as he felt uncomfortable sharing links online decided to enter on the last day and ended up winning the filter but that's the way it goes, lol
