      Actually it’s easiest to do this daily. I just wash mine (I use 3 per day) with the rest of my daily dishes. I don’t have a dishwasher so it’s just a quick soap shake and 3 shake rinses. Then it dries overnight and I put everything away when I wake up. Putting stuff away takes more time than washing.

      Very true, and what if you don't put your mouth on it to drink from it? For example, pouring from it into your mouth without contact or into a separate cup. Tips. Note this is for hydro flask.
    - depends on what you drinking if drink say juices with pulp/debris then those will build up at bottom or rim of the bottle if sit there for good while. Either grab and swish it back and fourth or throughly rinse it before adding new drink fo it.
    - for sure carry extra lids depending on what you using and replace every 2-4 days depending on use and rinsing it.
    - once in while grab a napkin and wipe within the rim or nozzle area to remove debris but if noticed black stuff then mold maybe developing. If do same as above swap it out and clean the lid. You can remove the rubber in the lid. I use a knife to go in and pry it out then when needing to put the rubber ring back in I use a chopstick to press down evenly.
    - if do those rheb you only need to clean the canteen once a week. But again it depend on what you drink, what debris builds up and potentially how fast mold builds up.

      I just drink plain water without touching my mouth, i barely clean it and tbh the water doesnt taste bad so far. But i should do it more often but i dont have a brush so i usually just use hot water and soap, closed the bottle and shake it roughly and rinse the soapy water away. I also washed the rubber in the lid once in a while too

    I wash mine once a week, sometimes every other week and I thought I was good till one day I smelt mold. I took a close look at the lid and my bottle has two small openings on the lid to let the water out when you drink and I discovered they were black. Despite me washing the lid as well and running hot water through the holes. I guess it's because I don't leave the lid off to dry. I took a q-tip to swap the inside of the holes and they were black. Now I clean it every other day and leave the lid off so it can dry out.

      Ok I understand getting busy here and there and not washing it every day (instead every other day, every 3 days) but this is out of control lmao.

    I always drink water without touching my mouth with any part of water bottle , just pour water into my mouth ... But I only clean water bottle once 2-3 days or sometime a week ... I want to know bacteria can grow that way?

      If it does not get completely dried out, for sure. Imagine keeping an opened bottle/cup for a week, water would just grow microbes from the tiny bit there was. During severe water shortages, water has to be maintained in a large vessel with bleach weekly.

      I mean, generally yes. But if I have a water glass that I drank from just once, I don't think I'll die if I drink from it again the next day.

    Believe me, you should soap and then spray the inside with hydrogen peroxide. Let it sit for a bit and rinse off before refilling. Otherwise, you might be drinking quite a lot of molds with that water. Look inside the bottle. You can't keep them forever if the molds are growing back, toss them. Yes. Does not matter how much you paid for your dam fashionable bottle. Molds LOVE to grow in plastic containers ‼️

    i wash my hydroflask maybe once a month often even over 2 months, i mainly only filled it with cold water every single day, never anything else, it never annoys me honestly or gives me any diseases, at the end of the day i always emptied the bottle so no water ever sits in there for long periods, i always refilled it with new cold water. the bottle only touches my mouth, if a friend asked me some water i always told them to jug the water out and not touch their mouth, i wash it when i could visually see some "bits" in the water. and when i DO wash it, i would do it very thoroughly, im talking double soap and in the end i pour super hot water in it, shake it, let sit for a few moments the pour it out, after that i countinue using it.

      bruh... theres this thing called "normal flora" which are good and natural inside your body and then theres extremely harmful ones, many of which are evolving at a dangerous rate and no longer affected by the usual antibiotics we have today - WHICH ARE ALSO THE ONES THAT ARE LIVING IN YOUR 3-DAY UNWASHED WATERBOTTLE AND MIGHT JUST CAUSE THE NEXT WORLD PANDEMIC

    • @user-zl2ec
      @user-zl2ec Місяць тому

      bacteria living on your waterbottle for days can be very bad tho. you're putting yourself and others at risk of contracting MRSA
      sure some microorganisms are not all bad like the "normal flora" in your body... but bacteria and viruses and live off of unclean areas are all bad tho.
