Sealed the blade to the handle with some JB Weld. Since fire is most important thing in the woods to me, other than shelter, I will cut a toilet paper tube down lengthwise then split it and tape it back together so it fits in the handle, will put some strike anywhere matches and some dryer lint rubbed with Vaseline in the tube, matches will be wrapped in aluminum foil with a separate striker paper. Would consider taping a space blanket on the outside of the sheath.
I would remove the set-screw, which is securing the blade to the handle. Drill completely through the set-screw hole, tap out the new (slightly larger hole) with fine threads. Thread into newly tapped hole, with a threaded machine screw. Cut off excess machine screw, and grind flush. Add epoxy to inside of knifes storage compartment, to seal at knifes tang.
I want to get one to mess around with. I have a Wilson custom knives hollow handle. So I want to see the difference between a few dollars and a few hundred
The gordon is actually HF's old model before the other one you call the old model came out. I guess they realized they screwed up and went back to the original.
Could you get a Maxam version and compare them against these two? I have the older gordon and the Maxam version but curious how the tangs and handles are between all the clones.
You know what drives me crazy. Everytime I look for "the top survival knives" online it's always, 420HC hands down, 1095 Kabars are this that and the other, no it's ESEE, no it's this or the other. THERE IS no consensus I tell you. Somebody sell me on the best and at same time most durable sharp cutter out there, please. Under $200 or so
The small Harbor Freight flashlight fits perfectly in the handle!

You can look through the handle so it can be used as an emergency telesescope.
I have seen others JB weld the blade in to place and went to town with no issues.

I did this but I also coated the blade in epoxy and dumped some inside the hole before putting it together again.
My local second hand store has one of these locked behind glass for $49.99. 😂
Was probably the original Aitor version. If it says Aitor Jungle master on the blade buy it immediately.
Looks like they moved the factory or got different equipment
I wonder if a space blanket would vroll small enough to fit in handle?

Great video! Thanks
Also, spray some flex seal in handle.
Sealed mine great.
After I JB Welded the blade. Also I use the saw blade to cut feathers for fire just use it instead if the blade side
Also have a magnesium fire stricker in handle
A mini bic with some duct tape wrapped around it fits in there.
Why are there 2 holes in the guard?
I believe they are supposed to look like bayonet loops

I think you are looking for a Morakniv. They have knives from like $15 to just under $200. Worth a look
Mora Garberg or the Terävä Jääkäripuukko are probably some of the best bushcraft-y knives for under 100.
These are no good for anything now i did have an idea put a stick in the handle might be able to spear something but pretty sure the blade will break
Got mine free it eas an offer but had to buy twenty buc worth of stuff
The first thing to ask yourself is "how much is my life worth to me"? If your answer is $8, this one is for you.
If the Harbor Fraight survival knife is so great...why are there so many different things that you might do to it
It's just garbage
