This was amazing. Loved the horrible effects of the close quarters combat in the Autumn. Some of the best Halo content I've ever seen. Please animate more stories from the books.
I will seriously pay for a 4k fully rendered film release of this series when its done

Yes! I've been waiting for this masterpiece. But, I have to watch it with headphones in my house. Such a work of art should be listened to and heard in the best possible quality.

Dude every new release is better than the last. I love seeing a medic marine and seeing the warthog turret mounted to a defensive barrier was badass. I love how that guy's legs got blown off too. Actually general kidd found some files hidden in the games that seem to indicate that there was going to be dismemberment and body parts. So you are not far off bungie's original vision for the game.
The camera work is fantastic and like I said before is really reminiscent of Halo CE cutscenes. I absolutely love seeing more of the marines in the POA, that's why I really like the opening cutscene with Johnson's speech; you can see the inner workings of the launch bay and everyone preparing for combat. You took it to the next level, it's awesome!!! The helmet cam footage in the escape pod and the knife kill was too cool😎 amazing job using voice lines and sound effects that already existed in game. Really makes it flawless and immersive.
My only suggestion and positive feedback is when the Marines fire their MA5B rifles, they always fire in bursts in the game, not full auto. That was the only thing that stood out to me as not right. I know you could argue they are using full auto in a special occasion like in the Landfall trailer the odst fired a battle rifle in full auto. So maybe if you really wanted to include the full auto make combination of some firing in burst, and others firing in full auto so there's a variety?
And for guilty spark first encounter, I think he should wander down into the tunnels of Halo and come across spark down there. Or maybe wander into the swamp or steal a ghost and end up in the swamp (I'm not sure if Marines can fly a banshee canonically). There he would find guilt spark.
Or another idea, maybe spark is doing maintenance on one of the beam emitters you see around the ring, and that's when he first encounters him after he happens to walk nearby.
Other than that I loved everything keep up the great work!!!!

With the "early" meeting with Sparks, that's why I put in the description that I take artistic liberties, otherwise it was going to be too long for me to just animate. Although don't worry, I know it's still very early and the Flood hasn't been released yet, so he's not going to take it away yet, but maybe it was interesting that he already "knew" Mobuto. In any case, I still have time to change it, that's what the WIPs are for xD.
For the final movie they may meet later and this early meeting will only remain as a cliffhanger hehe

My dude is a fcuking wizard. All the little details are just perfect. My favorite is in the last bit when we see the guy firing the pistol and it has insane recoil, like it probably would for a marine. Excellent job my friend
Its awesome how you showed the brutality of enemy fire. Effects like plasma burns, catastophic injuries, etc. Something the game custscenes would never. Adds some great realism to the war.
This was awesome and extremely well thought out. I liked that it actually gave the marines some credit and some backbone

Demasiado buena las cinematicas joder me encanta que pareciara que fuera oficial del propio juego de Halo CE simplemente increible como Marvin Mobuto ante esa tropa del covenant al aterrizar al anillo ya quiero ver como lucha en la biblioteca simplemente ah de ser muy interesante!!!

Great animation so far, love that you use the CE models. Bit of feedback but the muffled sound is quite distracting. Not sure if it's intentional but some sounds are noticeably quieter compared to the music and the spirit landing sound effect.
Maybe an increase to the volume of the weapons/voices. This is still great and amazing storytelling keep up the good work👍
Thanks! It's still a work in progress haha. Several things have also changed from WIP 1 that will be reflected in the final film.

Oh my god. I would *love* if this had been done with that first person perspective instead, sort of like what we got with the Jenkins footage from the game. That viewpoint at the end was SO cleanly animated compared to the other test footage. Either way, I'm excited to see where this goes!

I haven't read it for a while and I don't remember well
More or less. The only part that appears in the novel is the first part of WIP 1, when the Chief finds the corpse of a marine in the library. Surprised by how far he had come.
The rest, so far until now, is my interpretation/fantasy/how I imagine it was hehe
