this problem is shadow cache. If you're playing the game for the first time, it doesn't memorize the map and shading, and it's hard for Fortnite. This is not a problem, it's completely related to the structure of the game, you should play for a while when you first enter the game and I recommend you to open dx12 in such a processor. Fortnite gives importance to the number of cores while in dx12.
I have the G15 Advantage edition ... & i have the same problem ... even when i watch movies ... i've watched lots of reviews & it appears that it might be a SSD problem the INTEL one beeing a real low tear solution & also the ram ... i'm a tech enthusiast but not a tech professional ... but according to JARROD's TECH & many more the ram they used have weak timings ( i hope i got that right) --> Jarod got 15% more performance after he added a new SSD (Crucial P5) & better 16gb of RAM. I still kept the INTEL SSD with windows on it ... & for the rest i use a Silicon Power SSD... but i still have some stuttering from time to time ... maybe because windows is on the INTEL. That's my two cents.
I use the same laptop. I have upgraded to 32 gb dual rank ram sticks. I still see micro stuttering but just in the beginning of the game. Once the parachute lands, the micro stuttering is gone. Strange.
I had the same issue! I have the laptop for a week now and i have upgraded the ram sticks to dual rank 3200mhz pc4 25600. I also disabled the . I created a task to empty my standby memory (which it was 6GB by the way) and now enjoy very nice and stable Fps in all the games without any stuttering except from rare occasions and ONLY on TURBO mode which is kind of weird. I assume it is from the thermal throttling, or a bug in the application! I cannot tell you which of these steps fixed the problem, But at least the stuttering and the frame drops are gone. Also the fps are increased significantly.
@@danabu-reish8743 also i have downloaded the apu tuning utility and i have limit my cpu at 150w in turbo mode. And optimized the voltage curve to -(20) my temps are great now! Also...if you have a cooling pad. Throw it... It only makes the laptop to stutter more ( I don't understand why but it does)
After updating BIOS to 315 and AMD GPU drivers to 21.9.2 has improved significantly some micro stuttering i had. I think the remaining stuttering is due to the wifi card which is definitely not the best. Will change the wifi card and report back
Hi there, i'm used to desktops mostly ... but my question is --> A bios update for this Laptop ( my actual new one) ... is done the same way you do it for the desktop right ? -- (you put it on a USB stick and you update it from a the USB source once pluged in ??? )
I was getting 104fps on epic now I'm getting 20 I updated my drivers because vr was giving me 40 now vr is back to 120fps but Fortnite is suffering I fixed it with the chipset drivers now I'm getting 130 fps but still not 160 like most other versions of the Rx 6800m
And if you want higher fps then lower the shadow settings to high since it barely does any difference and set directx to 12 allow multithereading rendering leave rtx off
Are you test this first time after install fortnite ? If yes it happen, cause fortnite shader and shadow cache not perfect when first time install, it happen when after big updates. Basically my solution usually first turn on dx11 and then play on empty map, circle around. And then turn on dx12 , restart the game and enter empty map circle around until there is so stuter. Thats what i do
@@TechTyrial so right now am seeing the MSI GP66 Leopard | RTX 3070 (8gb) + Intel 7 11800h, on costco for $1500 USD. Do you feel its a good deal over this ASUS advantage edition of $1650 USD.

which gpu drivers are you using?? i have 21.8.2 and notice some stuttering in warzone. From a theoretical point of view I don't think it's the lack of MUX the issue, I think it's 100% driver related (AMD probably needs to work on them) as I've had laptops in the past with worse specs and no mux switch and they didn't have stutters whatsoever

This looks like a driver issue. My advice would be try to install a separate windows on a new drive with community specified drivers. This is why people don't buy AMD, drivers straight from the stone age.
@@TechTyrial well I am going to buy this as this is my only option. It's either this or the 3060 legion 5 so I am opting for this as such AMD should get their crap together.
I have both, and trust me, both are disappointing. Gaming laptops do get hot and yes fans are loud. So that's normal. You can use quite mode but check the temps as such if the temps are ok then you can use quite mode as that will have lower noise and protect your fans as well.

Did you end up fixing up the stutter and how are you liking the laptop ?
an easy fix will be to keep the shadows off and effects low. Microstutters stop and it doesnt look diferrent at all.

Sometimes windowes update overwrites gpu drivers , try reinstalling gpu driver by using DDU then installing 6800m drivers from official amd websites
