    The public transport company has lot of experience , i would say more than 40 years. Many of theses buses are now assembled in Abidjan. Also Abidjan is a very big city, 2-3 times the population of Accra and 10 times the area. Trotros cannot be competitive when the public transport is cheaper on long distances, more secured and can reach every single corners. They are also strict rules about where the trotros can operate, they are forbidden in certain districts.

    The city buses are for travel within Abidjan only. They do not go to other cities

    Thank you for sharing beautiful Abidjan. I was just mesmerized watching the view and the main street vs. the back street which is my preference. I want to be close to the people.. ❤
    When you take Kofi to NY or Chitown to enjoy the pizza that will give him his new name - Coffee - make sure that y'all ride on a city bus so he can understand what you are talking about. Those buses kinda gave me that American city bus vibe for real. 🚌
    P.S. Love your hair! 😍 I would have that pinned up/back for a few days until it got "older". Having it in my face would make me crazy, but that characteristic is what makes it suit you well well. 😉

    Sis your hair is lovely. Did you drive from Accra to Abijan? If so how many hours did it take. I'm a new subbie and enjoy your vids. Thanks for sharing.

      Thank you sis!!!! We took the “short short” route. Took a van to the boarder town (which was fast but scary) and then took a “local” van from boarder town to Abidjan (stressful ride lol). The entire journey took about 18 hours (bc the “layover” in the border town Noe was crazy). Check out our last video to see our journey. You can also take the STC bus which is slow but much safer and that journey takes about 12 hours. Round trip flights from Accra to Abidjan are about $450pp 😳. Hope this helps!

      Yes! However, the buses aren’t as prevalent and frequent like other city buses. Kofi explained to me that they used to be but Ghanaians prefer tro tro bc they’re faster lol

      Accra has had city buses as you call them, but not consistently over time. They’d operate a fleet - eg Omnibus Service, other private owner buses, etc but within a few to several years they disappear. Lol

    What you don't know is ...the Ivorian economy is s being supported by France....but Ghana does it on it own...simple...so much France influence in there.😅😅

      Why are you trying talking rubbish have you ever see European country build an African country ? Or are you telling me that Ghana is built by the British?

    • @jonathansk5608
      @jonathansk5608 Рік тому +4

      i thought France was exploiting its former colonies like ivory coast with the CFA , now you are saying they support their economy ? or do you mean french people are working in cocoa plantations that 's why ivory coast is world top cocoa producer with twice the Ghanaian production and transform 31% of it ? i am confused. My understanding is that the current president has a phD in economics and is a former IMF director. Maybe he knows a little bit about economy, don't you think ?

    • @JC-ty3zq

      TRUE.THE IVORIAN CURRENCY CFA IS SUPPORTED BY FRANCE.ALL COUNTRIES IN AFRICA THAT USE CFA CURRENCY IS SUPPORTED BY THE FRANCE CENTRAL BANK.

    • @Bien.etre360co
      @Bien.etre360co Рік тому +2

      @@JC-ty3zqYou say nothing good because when you look in French-speaking Africa which countries are better built than Côte d'Ivoire and Senegal? Look at Burkina, Mali... These countries also use the CFA but Sierra Leone is better built than these countries. So stop justifying the fact that Abidjan is better done so it's the France

    • @Bien.etre360co
      @Bien.etre360co Рік тому

      Otherwise Burkina, Mali, Niger... Are countries that were also French colonies eh, why are these countries not better built than yours then? You justify the unjustifiable. Our president just works well with money from the country's resources. We also have cocoa as a raw material just like you, why do you say this kind of thing? Is it the French who work on cocoa plantations?

  • @tmobiletemp9832

    France takes all their resources and provide them with infrastructure like roads

      Ghana needs to do the same for Ghana

    • @yacouvbanou6886
      @yacouvbanou6886 Рік тому +7

      Then why British did leave Ghana without infrastructures? Black peoples are always downgrade their own people to feel comfortable with their own weaknesses. While Houphouet Boigny was building Ivory Coast, Ghana was in Coup d’état and instability. Ivory Coast is world class agriculture country.

      Why the comparisons neither Ghana or ivory coast is getting what they deserve for their coca, it's still EXPLOITION by foreigners.
