Good job, as always.
I learnt that recently the Canadian experience class has been put on hold to allow the IRCC to tackle its huge backlogs for the Express Entry stream.
I hope this wont affect IMGs already in fellowship in Canada and those intending to in a few years time.
Thank you.
Thanks. Where did you read that the Canadian experience class is paused!!

Amazing video, thank you so much Dr. Rajeev. Just one question: Do I need to do the MCCQE part 1 exam before I apply for fellowships? By the way, I loved the behind-the-scenes cut, you should include it in future videos as well :).
Thank you for the valuable feedback. This is helpful. You do not need any exams to apply for clinical or research fellowship in Canada! In the USA, USMLE is required for a clinical fellowship
Thanks Dr. Rajeev. Your videos are ever so detailed, yet straight to the point and very informative.
Pls can an IMG with say 3-4 years work experience as a GP apply for a job as a General Practitioner in Canada (not Family Medicine Resident now), instead of a Research-based paying job, in order to get a Canadian experience class, and then a PR before continuing the process of matching? If yes, what are the requirements?
Thank you.
Yes you can. You apply with a strong application highlighting all your experience necessary for the job and a professional CV

Hello doctors,
I had a gap year during my 4th class at University, does this have negative impacts on my resume?
My University has sponsor note from Canada.
Your videos are the best sir in helping IMGs have clarity on ongoing processes, appreciate it ! Can you please let me know which universities are good to apply in Canada for anesthesia fellowship!
Thanks a lot! There are 17 universities in Canada where IMGs can apply. I have recorded a video with editing under process on exactly this topic. I hope to get this out within the next few weeks.
Great job and wonderful explanation sir.. I m an internal medicine postgraduate from India .. can u make a video on clinical fellowships for internal medicine
Hello Sir , i have been watching you for a while but still seem confused which route to take ,i have completed my MBBS in china and did my one year of medical internship and got my practising license back home .,please can you suggest which route is best to get there ,is it by canadan experience pathway or doing the mccqe1 and carms pathway ?Thank you
The first step is to do residency
www.IMGSecrets.com
Thank you for this video.
Pls, does MB;BS degree qualified IMG to apply for and get jobs as database analyst, data scientist and specialist in clinical and laboratory medicine? Will a non specialist (General Practitioner) who has being in clinical practice be able to get these kind of jobs, won't work experience be necessary in these fields be necessary or what do you suggest sir?
Thank you
Yes possible. I will give you an example. Let us say an IMG who has completed MBBS is interested in doing residency in anesthesia. Then he/she is able to find a job in the Department of anesthesia with a consultant doing lab research, that can qualify as one of the these jobs..
Yes GP is eligible too. A GP could try something similar in medical specialties.. Experience definitely helps with the application
Hello my friend, so my name is Mr. chandra narayan, from bangladesh. I am job seeker ledcor construction Ltd. canada for waiting. Can i get the clearance or pr
Thank you so much for the amazing informative videos. Sir, I’m a fresh graduate from Bangladesh . If I apply for a research job and then get Canadian PR, do I need to write MCCQE exams to get a Residency or I can directly apply for an alternative pathway like a province-based residency ? TIA
Dr. Tasfia, thanks. You first have to do residency
Hi Doctor, I am a Canadian citizen and an IMG with specialist training in my original country. I have cleared my NAC OSCE , QE1 exam and issued with LMCC. Could you please indicate to me how I could proceed further to get a provisional license in any province across Canada? Thanks for your help and advice.
Dr. Wong, i am a little confused. Here you say you have specialist qualification and in the other comment you say you don't have specialist training from your home country!
The answer is you either do residency in Canada (irrespective of specialist qualification in your home country) or if you are already a specialist in your home country try to get in as a clinical fellow.
Hi Dr Rajeev, Thank you for your reply. I had 2 years of postgraduate training which was not regarded as a specialist training.
can you do electives in 4th year of ebbs from Pakistan in Canada and will it help
Yes you should try if you can get in and it does help your CV when you apply for residency.

Hello Doc, thanks for your informative videos
What if I don't fall in both categories
A medical doctor 3-4 years experience post graduation , no specialty woking as a general practitioner, is there a pathway for that
Thank you
Yes your pathway would be to first do residency. Best, www.IMGSecrets.com
Hello doctor.
I have completed MD biochemistry from india. I want to know if i can work as a clinical biochemist in Canada. Can you guide me plz.. Thanku
Dear Doctor, considering your experience, it's essential to note that an Indian degree may not be directly recognized. To enter the system, you might need to explore opportunities as a fellow and then navigate through the process accordingly.

Can a UK trained doctor with CCT after getting licence in Canada work in USA ?
Once you have a full license in Canada, it will be easier to work in the USA.
You will need a US State Medical Board license & cannot work on a license form Canada if this is what you are wondering! You will also need a visa to work in the USA. This is true irrespective of training background - UK or outside, however the UK experience will help with the process in Canada.
You will need a job offer in the USA. Let's say you have a job offer from USA and you have an independent license in Canada, then the hospital in the USA hiring you will work with you to get your state medical board license & visa. The US hospitals have a very supportive infrastructure (at least in my experience) to make this happen!
Hello sir, your videos are really helpful, but I have a question that an img from india who completed his mccqe and nac exam in his final year of medical college then how he get his PR before apply through carms because it requires citizenship or PR
Dr. Ayush, that's an excellent question. Yes you need a PR.
You have two options to pursue PR in Canada: applying directly from India or moving to Canada on a job or work permit and then utilizing that opportunity to apply for PR. Both pathways have their unique advantages and challenges, so it's crucial to assess your situation, qualifications, and preferences to determine the most suitable route for you.

@@IMGSecrets Thank you sir, as a student how can I apply for pr from india or any one can sponsor me?
Also have another question, that clerkship in canada is required for residency in canada like residency in usa required.?
@@AyushSPatel
Indeed, PR applications for Canada can be made from India. The Canadian immigration system operates on a points-based system, which evaluates applicants based on various factors such as age, education, work experience, language proficiency, and adaptability.
While having a clerkship experience can be beneficial, it is not a mandatory requirement for meeting the residency criteria.

Can an img can come to Canada at the age of 65 or above as Research fellowship
Potentially, depending on your background. Would be extremely difficult to sell this idea to the hospital

Hi Doctor, I am a Canadian citizen and am an IMG graduate without specialist qualification. Could you please tell me how to get a provisional license for practice in any province in Canada ? Thanks

You either do residency in Canada (irrespective of specialist qualification in your home country) or if you are already a specialist in your home country try to get in as a clinical fellow.
Hi Dr Rajeev, besides practice ready assessment which I’m not qualified, could you please indicate to me which pathway I could have provisional license without entering competitive residency matching ? Thanks
@@drckwong I am not aware of a pathway to being a specialist in Canada without a residency!
Hi Sir, I wanted to know about the type of visa, I have a fellowship offer letter from Toronto. Can you let me know what category of visa is required for me, and my wife. Currently I work in UK, do I have to go back to India for visa? And is any English test required for visa ? That would be a great help. Thanks a lot.
This is great news. Congratulations. You will receive a work visa and a closed work permit. Your wife a dependent visa and is eligible for an open work permit. You should be able to have the visa stamped in UK at the Canadian consulate.
Typically IELTS is required for the work permit.
More importantly, if you intent is to stay long-term, make use of this fellowship opportunity!
@@IMGSecrets thank you very very much sir for your reply sir. I keep encouraging my feelings to watch your channel.
Can you please tell me the registration route on cpso ?
On the self screening portal, it says you are eligible for postgraduate training, but then it says 3 options:
1. if you are Uk applicant : completed Frcs,MRCS, etc..
2. If applying from Australia : completed their exams.
3. If from other countries, : Compete the mcq exam
Do I have to give the mcq exam if I want to do clinical fellowship in Toronto ?
@@drheartstrings To my knowledge, you do not need MCCQE1 to enter a fellowship. Have you received your paperwork form U of T? You apply using this!
Thank you very much sir.. you are very kind to reply.
I have started paper work with U of T, and as you said no exam is required.
I had doubt regarding spouse visa, can we both file application at same time ? I mean as I am going to apply for work visa for me and spouse visa for wife. Can It be done as single application ? As processing times for both visa s are different.. please do help and let me know . Many thanks
Hello, can please clarify whether you need to pass mccqe when applying as an IMG for a fellowship?
Dr. Anna, you do not need MCCQE1 to apply for a fellowship.

Or Should I apply for PR after clearing part 1 mccqe exam ?which Is the right way to travel with my husband ?
