    Eckhart Tolle is widely recognized as one of the most original and inspiring spiritual teachers of our time. He travels and teaches throughout the world.
    Eckhart is not aligned with any particular religion or tradition, but excludes none. His profound yet simple and practical teachings have helped thousands of people find inner peace, healing and greater fulfillment in their lives. At the core of his teachings lies the transformation of individual and collective human consciousness - a global spiritual awakening.
    Eckhart Tolle is the author of The Power of Now, a #1 New York Times Bestseller, which has been translated into 32 languages and become one of the most influential spiritual books of our time.
    In his most recent book, A New Earth, he shows how transcending our ego-based state of consciousness is not only essential to personal happiness, but also the key to ending conflict and suffering throughout the world.

    I love how Eckhart looks as if (during his pauses) that he's downloading information from the Universal wisdom and then he shares it with us. What a great soul this man is.

      I believe he is able to do that, because he's not in a rush to answer the question to prove to the audience and his ego that he knows what he's talking about or has the answer or is smart.
      You can see when someone doesn't have an answer and quickly blags something, but lying or not really answering. Like a politician or a middle manager.

      Jostar if it helps, I just quit my job a few days ago. I’ve had a roller coaster of emotions since i quit, but the brain is going to naturally go in to panic mode when you make a decision to such an event. The trick I’ve learned is to accept the moment, and feel gratitude for WHAT IS. The emotions are the most important thing, whatever it is you are feeling changes your thoughts. It’s difficult, but when you are feeling down you have to search for a positive thought and let that build momentum.
      I wish you the best of luck. I’m relieved I left my toxic environment, and I’m excited for my new chapter.

    No matter how much suffering our minds create, no matter how much misery I wallow in, no matter the cause, the loss, the divorce, the misery, when I listen to Eckhart it all fades away into the nothingness from which it came. Fortunately I found the Power of Now at age 19 and have been listening ever since. So there is a lot of freedom from pain. But the beauty of the clear teaching ends suffering upon contact. Gate, gate, gate, paragate, parasamgate, boddhisvaha. Gone, gone, gone to the furthest shore. Hail the goer...

  • @HelenThomasCreativeHealer

    ACCEPTANCE the original meaning of the word is 'take something to oneself, take what is offered' - what the present moment is offering you, saying 'yes' to the now. Practice an inner smile and silently saying 'Yes'.
    ENJOY original meaning 'take delight in' - delight in the present moment
    ENTHUSIASM original meaning '‘possessed by a god, inspired’ (based on theos ‘god’) - being possessed by God/Divine Love in the present moment. Thank you Eckhart, Namaste to all who read this ♥♥♥

    • @TheresFuckeryAfoot
      @TheresFuckeryAfoot 5 років тому +2

      Helen Thomas.... being present does not mean “enjoying” the present moment. Being present means fully accepting the moment is for what it is. If it is painful, being present means you can recognize it and learn from it, heal and move through it or change it if possible. If it is joyful, being present means you also learn from it and can fully savor it.
      Being present does not mean you pretend all moments are enjoyable. Being beaten or raped is not enjoyable. Starving is not enjoyable. Telling people that being “present” means to smile and enjoy painful moments is the opposite of presence. It is projection.

    • @HelenThomasCreativeHealer
      @HelenThomasCreativeHealer 5 років тому

      @@TheresFuckeryAfoot Yes, I totally agree. I have been accepting and embracing all parts of myself that arise in the present moment, including all the hurt, insecure and resentful parts. What I thought was lovely in respect to Eckhart's teaching is that when we are fully present without the suffering ego being present, we can take delight in the moment, exactly as it is by firstly allowing ourself to accept the moment (so if I am in a neutral state of consciousness for example, as I focus on saying yes to the moment, accepting it as it is, a natural joy fills my heart - as Eckhart speaks of). I was interested in the original meaning of each word that Eckhart referred to and found wisdom that others may enjoy too. Apologies for poor explanation, not a strong point of mine.

    You help me come back to center. My son had a job interview which would allow him to move to a city he loves - it was yesterday, and I've been fretting because he hasn't gotten a call yet. It seems as thought it'd be the perfect place for him, but just not sure he "aced' it. I know at my core that it'll be okay either way and yet I want to make deals with the universe, laws of attraction and divine right that he gets that call right....now. Then I watch your smiling eyes, your amusement at being a bartender in a disco - and I start to remember that I'm messing around in the past with the way the interview went, and the future about how super disappointed he'll be if he's not offered the position. There is peace right now, and that's all the real estate I possess - I can breathe and quiet down a bit. Thank you, Eckhart.

    I'm now 31 and dealt with being self doubtful. Failed many times when trying to better myself..basically trying to fit in our society for success. I also experienced having anxiety by the age of 28 and still trying to battle that. My emotions fluctuate on how my life should be... or thinking what jobs will make me happy. I'm terrified of rejections which i haven't had that opportunity to even put myself out there to the world. Being a minimalist did changed my life so I hope this new journey I'm in at this moment will fulfill my happiness. Always thriving to be happier even though there's many challenges ahead while I'm still here on this earth💛

      Don't be scared of rejection.
      I had that for the last ten months in my new job. My anxiety was getting worse every week.
      I finally let go of this recently by thinking "I'll show up and I'll do my best", the rest is in gods hands. 🙏🤲
      You know what happened?
      Things improved!
      Because I relaxed.
      It's basically a self fulfilling prophecy.
      Now that I have been studying more about the power of now and eckhart it has helped immensely! Now is all we have. If we focus on now fully, we don't need to concern ourselves with the future. And we can get into our flow, in our job and actually enjoy it, no matter what job that may be. I'm not scared of rejection any more. Because I'm at peace with doing my best. If they decide I'm not for them, that's their choice. I'll learn from it and move on. But not stressing about this is almost ensuring I keep my job! Because I am relaxed and doing my best. What more can employers expect 🤷🏼‍♀️😎 and if they do expect more, than "see ya 🖐 lol and thanks for the experiences! 🖐" 😎 I don't think it will come to that.
      I guess this is what confidence is 🤔 which is something I've *never* had....until now. 👍

Now i find myself enjoying being there. i catch myself feeling Entertained by the strong egos there. After 2 yrs of of Eckhard's teachings, i'm so different. It seems the dense egoic people stay away from me now. i guess they know they can't upset me, so they don't want to waste there energy on me lol. But no I was being dysfunctional all along. Fortune enough for discovering Eckhart at the age of 25 out of suffering in 2020 and after 3 years again connecting with him because I fell again to dysfunctional life not entirely but to some extent. My intense suffering making me to be present. Eckhart is very right, suffering force some people to be present which is the case with me. The more I feel resistance,fear,stress the more it pushes me to be present.

That speaks to me because he's making the point of saying acceptance is not blindly accepting a situation that doesn't work for you when you do have a real choice to leave and accept a different situation instead.

    I found this lecture helpful. I’m not considering changing jobs but I’ve been obsessed about relocating and that obsession has caused me a lot of stress as I keep telling myself that I don’t want to live in this city for the rest of my life. But there are things about living in this city that I enjoy and I will now be more present and enjoy each moment, telling myself that I don’t have to be here forever. Someday I may move but just enjoy the present, accept it until further notice.

    The experts tell us to do what we love, and we will never work a day in our life. While this may be true, it's not that simple. We have to be financially responsible, so we are not a burden on society. It's impractical to just walk out when we are not enjoying our jobs. Whenever I enjoyed the people with whom I worked, I had joy on the job. It was the people I was with that mattered. I love to draw, paint, and write and am very good at these things, but these are very lonely endeavors. I still need the interaction with enjoyable people.

    • @lemurianchick
      @lemurianchick 5 років тому +2

      It's impractical to stay on a job that for some people can become bad for their physical and/or mental health. And if a person has to do on disability because they literally cannot work, isn't that the ultimate "burden on society?" Truth be told, I don't think that is a good mindset to operate from. When you think that you are ever potentially a burden, there is something lurking within that is motivated by a need to prove one's worth. The Universe owes us a living because we are here! I am that I am--no exceptions. You talk about people on the job. You're obviously an extrovert who enjoys those types of relationships. Not of all us have nice stories to tell about co-workers and bosses. Some of us have experienced a lot of negativity dealing with others and prefer to be alone.

      That is a lot to cope with, Sandra. Could you take yourself away for some 5-10 minute breaks in the day with the specific intent to just sit with your hand on your heart and breathe eyes closed. Then ask for the wisdom, inspiration, courage, people, opportunities etc to show up to help you move into something else. Try to do this from a place of strength and sovereignty rather than feeling desperation, which will come if you give yourself some moment to simply breathe and calm down your nervous system as you feel into your inner strength. It calms down the anger and frustration. It is more powerful to do it like that, than a longing and cry for help. And if you know what you desire talk about that, look towards that, imagine that, fill in the picture, fuel the fire of what it is you want. Instead of what you don’t want. It also gives you and your mind a mini holiday to allow yourself the chance to imagine a new life, a new way of being, whilst also conjuring a new life. Could you find an interest group in the something that you want to move towards? Or a support group for fellow health workers to make connections? I know it is virtual right now, but anything at all should help to bring you some relief. I recommend a start and end of day routine of 10 minutes closing the eyes and focus on nice relaxing spa music or a sound... you can call it meditation or you can call it switching off. Keep letting those unwanted thoughts float by on clouds and don’t let them stick. Next, next, next....until even for a few moments you find an empty space that you don’t have to fill. That’s freedom. I wish you good luck
