I was just listening to the Blues Down version of “Turn on your Love Light” as performed at Woodstock by Thigpen… It would most wonderful to hear John Mayer Perform that blues version once again with D&C as Tribute to all that came before us. Especially with Bob, Bill, Mickey… and invite Phillip for one last song! That would a Pinnacle all in itself…. Please pass the Idea… Every Grateful Dead & Company fan would Love… to Hear ya play it again Sam! O’teil would be perfect to Sing that Song in the Blues Woodstock version! Best Wishes to All
So John Referenced a song played two nights ago, where he screamed because Bobby did a microtonal thing. Anyone nail down what show that was( two nights previous from this video was 7/14 - they didnt have a show), and what the song was? I thought that was a tender moment he shared and want to be able to listen to it.
It's so hard to fathom that this interview took place in advance of the final show of the 2022 tour and yet months later we'd learn they were about to embark on their final tour. I'm just not sure how it could be "this" fun, the band could be performing at such a high level still and yet Mayer was willing to say he was good ending it all. I'm not sure how you square those 2 things away and believe me I am a HUGE Mayer fan. Just can't wrap my head around this decision.
Maryland Heights, both Wrigley, Bristow, Philadelphia and the last CITI Field (wildest jams) were the best shows of the Tour! Incredible playing
absolutely must agree on the Keith Era. Great hearing you as usual John Mayer.
Excellent interviews with these two gentlemen

Lovelight last night! You got it.
I love John
Glad I finally listened but even happier I made it to the show! Too bad I missed the naked dancers
