The way BZ says sucker is just so funny
Never ever run towards a salmon at kaniq try to run backwards when it is swimming towards you and you are losing line tension or else you will lose a lot of them. But it was fun to watch your face when they managed to escape. :'D
That’s the thing about darn series- easy to look back on the past episodes and pick out stuff you didn’t know! Good thing we learned and moved on! 😉

That line tension thing happens to me all the time. Lost so many fish that I’ve fought for like 15 minutes
“Fish escaped because of low line tension” Story of my life.
I’ve lost a bunch of nice fish but never in scenarios like the one at 24:57 where if the game would’ve let him, he would’ve got the it, but it still hurts.

Those big chinook are some hard fish to catch man. I’m serious y’all I fought a chinook for 50 minutes before I lost it due to low line tension.

They should go ahead and combine The Hunter COTW and Fishing Planet. Greatest game ever.

I know this is three years old but you do know you can move your rod while reeling in right? when the fish swims toward you swing the rod to the side along with the strike key. When the tension comes back let go of strike then slowly point the rod to the fish again. Repeat. Your welcome.

You videos are great. That line tension thing sucks. Running backwards while reeling in helps, but sometimes the fish heads towards you too fast even with a good reel.
Thank you! Yeah, after my adventures at Kaniq, I always recommended a reel with a retrieve of 36” or more
@@BoAngles yeah in my experience if you lose tension its either still on the line when you regain tension or its buried you in a snag but i guess its an arcade style game

You should see marron river and congo river fish there like 200 lbs and give from 10k 15k 20k 25k cash and exp

using a 6.5lb rod 6.4lb reel with 6 lb line for walleye, 100xp per fish. 666, wait...great vids ty guy!

What?! Right or left click to keep pressure?! What is that!? I’ve gotten to level 38 and I’ve never had to right click to keep pressure before! (That’s sarcasm) definitely have- definitely did on these salmon… but if your retrieve isn’t high enough, you will lose them when they do runs towards you
What pole do you suggest to use so your takles not to heavy cause mines to heavy and keeps breaking me off
Just all depends on what type of fishing you’re doing and what level you are! Your rod will tell you what weight of lure it recommends, so just make sure your sinker/lure falls within that weight

i have to say the only thing that is missing is the set up when you show due to your webcam is coving the set up list
I wish fish got tired when you fight them for a long time
They should- it all depends on how much drag you’re using. I never meant to catch the one bull trout at Kaniq with the one reel, so I fought it forever simply because the reel didn’t have enough drag and the fish wasn’t getting tired.
@@BoAngles I fought a red for an hour and couldn’t get it in with decent equipment but it never got tired I had to cut the line

From a content creators stand point, though- you don't want people to watch your videos for the game, because the second you stop playing it, you lose those viewers. Any video you put out should have a purpose of creating relationships with your viewers- because in a few years or less, Fishing Planet may not be that great of a game in comparison to newer games out there.
If you're someone who is only in it for the gameplay, then that will be the end- but if you enjoy me creating the gameplay, then you'll stay along for the ride- and that is important. :)
You need to press shift and run backward as fast as you can it isis really annoying lost fish like this

Thanks, Tom Scott- I see it as an additional camera angle... which you see in many TV shows. But, I appreciate your perspective.
I do sometimes show where I am fishing, other times I feel like the map is small enough that you can see what is around me and figure it out. Otherwise, feel free to come to a livestream on Wednesday nights and ask in person!
