I think one thing Mark forgot to mention is that the scripture he referenced doesn’t say not to date non-believers but not to marry them. I think there are definitely times we can share our faith with romantic partners and help bring them to Jesus through courtship; however, Paul reminds us not to marry those people until they are fully committed to Christ and accepting of his gift
What helps me is Proverbs 18:22. I have not dated much. Knowing I am "the prize" helps me remember God has the best for me and I have to wait for His timing. It has not been easy the past few years, but it will be worth it in the long run.

This was so good. I've been on a date with a guy that I'm interested in and we have really good conversation about alot of things. Last night Jesus became the topic of discussion and I realized that he believes but not the way I do, if that makes sense. His understanding is surface level and not by knowledge or truth in the Bible. He was very open and receptive to hearing my thoughts and why I believed but made a comment that no one's way of belief is wrong. Right . But God also say do not be unequally yoked . When we are in the path of God before Christ you desire for someone to be on the same mind and goals . Which will be both to please God . But if the person does not know Christ before getting married but then one becomes saved then that’s when God calls us to be a testimony to them for them to also be saved . Hope I explained properly

Regardless of the video. It is ok to date. You also can date a non believer. The Bible talks of marrying some who is unequally yoked. Basically someone who doesn't believe in true Christianity. That doesn't mean you can date a non believer. When I met my wife almost 17 years ago she was Catholic and had a son who's father had nothing to do with him since birth. I met her when he was 10 months old. I was a Christian. I knew my parents wanted me to find a good Christian lady. I think God had otherwise in mind. Regardless we dated for 2 years in that time she gave her life to Christ and became a Christian:)!!! 17 years later and we have been through are shares of ups and downs but we put God right in the center of our relationship. Our son is also a Christian he gave his life to Christ some years ago. The point is God wants the ones who are lost period. I love my family and love God. So if you have feelings or care about someone important. Then date them. Be an example and they might just become equally yoked " a Christian".

So I'm currently going thru a court thing. I was saved in remand centre and been out on bail last 8 months. I've been getting to know a fellow Christian from my church but is it fair to make her wait for me. I'm looking at serving 3 yrs. I feel like it would be selfish of me to ask her to wait. Any advice please. She knows my circumstances
Well, I would not recommend you ask her to wait, but perhaps you can see what happen and if she does not meet anyone you can pick things up once you get out. Just my thoughts ....

Then, as you share info, prayer requests, praise reports, encouragement, etc., you can add people as friends on your personal page outside of the group! Then, as you know each other, you will surely have activities/friends in common. Sometimes building a network requires work! Also, use Instagram! If you follow Christian pages and churches and inspirational themes as well as your county/city/ a professional group your age, your feed will be full of positivity and Christ-centered info. People who follow you will see what you like, and you will inevitably post those types of things too! You increase your odds of meeting another Christian when you're not the only one looking... Your spouse is looking for you too! Let your light shine bright enough, he can't miss it!
You dont have to marry someone to find God. A Christian is to know God's word and plant seeds, share truth with people. James chapter 1 will document that. When you plant seed with someone, if they reject it, you move on, you dont waste time on that person. Number 2, only Jesus can germinate that seed. Plant seeds for God and move on, unless that person starts asking you questions or asks for help. It's about producing fruit for Jesus. Read John chapter 15. Jesus is the vine, Christian's are the branches. God will prune the branches to produce more fruit. God wants a productive servant. Focus on pleasing God, dont be man pleaser. The antichrist is coming near future to Jerusalem. My advice, dont get attached or relationship with heathen or nonbelievers. They will drag you down with them when antichrist arrives near future. Pick who you associate with wisely.
