- After over 6 months of inactivity, the car finally rolled out of the workshop, running healthily like never before, with some upgrades like standalone management, oversized cable throttle, K20 COP...etc to compliment the repairs. Will a 266/262 cam defeat the purpose of a Touge/Uphill build? We'll see in this video.
PS: I have apologize first for the massive drop in video quality as I was experimenting with an even wider angle (Superview 1080p) as it's not available for 2.7k recording. Somehow Hero 5 Black has an appalling video quality & bitrate for 1080p that vastly affected clarity and colour reproduction. Perhaps it's better to stick with a narrower angle at 2.7k res.

Hi bro, I'm planning to go for ulu yam drive next week...can I know what to type in Waze so that we reach this route? And are they any good restaurant after reaching there
Usually we start at Petronas BBS Fasa 2A, or when you set destination to Genting Highlands or Gohtong Jaya w/o toll, the map should most likely take you up that route. We either eat "Jin Hojak Ulu Yam Loh Mee" at Ulu Yam, or "66 Corner" or any mamaks at Gohtong Jaya. But Restoran Ratha Raub is one that I'd recommend, I loved their kambing goreng hehe.

Hi bro ...how much camber you're running on the front tires and what clutch are you using bro?
I was running on -1.9° in this video and using Exedy 6 puck clutch. Decent enough for street driving.
@@mengsenglim thanks man...does that amount of camber can cause uneven wear to our tyres?...I'm planing to set mine soon😅
@@shaktisvaran7491 For my usage the uneven wear was unnoticeable, so you shouldn't worry too much if you're using higher treadwear tyres. 😄

Sorry unrelated abit. Bro i wanna ask, what gear oil are you using?
Honestly, I'm not too sure for now because last time I sent my car urgently to reseal my transmission due to leaking and didn't ask about it. But I think it's likely using standard 75W90. I've yet to learn about it and try different oils.
@@mengsenglim i see i see. Because currently using mt-85 from redline, this thing is notchy as hell when cold. I have no idea why. But as soon as it warms, it gets better. Problem is, I don't drive long distances snd often. Usually short trips so chances are the oil never even got up to temp. Was thinking to swap to a grade lower.
@@wenjie3710 Hmm I wonder how that feels like. 🤔 But to my surprise, I didn't expect it would make such a difference on your case. Perhaps sticking to factory spec is the safest bet I guess? Just wondering what convinced you to try another oil?
@@mengsenglim When I had my neo, the gear changes was never smooth. I don't know if its common for Neo boxes. But judging from your video, I can see you have no issues with your shift whatsoever. So i began experimenting with different gear oils at different viscosities. So far, Ive tried Redline MT85, which my experience is as above.
I have no idea whats the factory fill for our gearbox. As for the Factory specs, upon checking the manual, it says "Petronas GL-4 SAE80W or Hypoid Gear Oil GL-4 SAE 75W-85W or 75W-90W." I most likely will switch to MTL or something else.
@@wenjie3710 Could it be faulty synchro or shifter linkage or even clutch pump? I think if you're planning to change gear oil next time, you might as well go for a full gearbox overhaul in one go since it's already problematic when you got the car. Perhaps after that you can be worry-free for the long coming years.

Do you lose those stock electrical function using the standalone ecu?
Can you specify which electrical function? But for me, everything works like normal. On a side note, I deleted ABS way before installing standalone, but some standalone can be configured to work with ABS. And also somehow my fuel consumption got stuck at 0.0l/100km. 😂
@@mengsenglim Oh i spoke with few guys about having a standalone ECU..some said I will lose few on board functionality such as meter,aircond and to name a few..I'm not sure about this thus here I am for further research lol.Oh no,you deleted the ABS on purpose or you still can't recalibrate it?
@@azriapli6051 Hmm I think this depends on cars perhaps? On CamPro most functionalities would work fine. And for ABS delete, it was merely because my braking system had been troublesome, so I intended to further simplify the system and made it easier to trace the problem. Not to mention the car is actually purpose built for something in the future so it's in the plan all along but came early.

Looking forward to increasing my engine performance as our mountain road condition here in Borneo needs more engine power due to steep gradients along our main road that connects that main city and smaller district, ranging from 10% to about 25% climbing roads.A little upgrade will be joyful 😅
@@azriapli6051 Understandable haha, since I was also desperately improving its uphill performance and even went with a more aggressive gearbox. But don't expect too much from CamPro engines, they don't quite gain a lot from upgrades. 😅

I would rather not disclose it, I can only say it was actually painfully slow after you've ridden in faster cars. 😂

ECU pakai Link G4X AtomX standalone. Nak start basic biasanya buat intake dgn exhaust dulu. Mod handling pun boleh dipertimbangkan.
