I'm not crazy about the vocals, but the music on this demo is a hundred times better than the finished product. It's almost like Flood took these demos, worked with Andy to get the vocal melodies and lyrics a bit tighter, but then just washed the original music in a heavy coat of reverb and oppressively heavy bass. I'd love to hear this entire album in demo form. It's got some really fantastic songs on it, but it's almost unbearable to listen to. A wasted opportunity.
I completely agree with you. I never understood all the reverb and the overly bassy final mix of this album...it DESPERATELY needs a remastering, if that can even help it.
