Former Defense Minister Zagorodnyok has the best vision for his country. The problem is like it or not Russia still holds the long term advantage due to is shear resources and manpower, if the peace deal doesn't benfit Russia to some degree, they'll likely just keep fighting and ukraine despite its fierce resistance will be pushed back, even if the costs of doing so will likely still be massive for Russians. The greatest problem negotiations will likely face is finding a solution that protects ukraine In the future while also being something the Russian would actually accept.

Russian military rely mostly on long range intimidation attacks as a safety lock and then they send in their tanks and vehicles when they think its safe, which usually end up being trapped and abandoned every time = so employ 'fast n furious' guerilla attacks like the Elite Nazi Panzer Grenadier divisions of 1939 which Nazis used in Poland and France to lethal effect calling it "blitzkrieg" tactics. Against the Russian big gun positions, this will be frightening! this will be the end of Russian forces in Ukraine I guarantee it

I have seen and heard reports of civilians being killed by both sides. You just don't know who to trust. Such a sad and horrific time for everyone involved. We can only pray that God's will be done..

it sickens me that the US acted to deny Ukraine polish jets. to do nothing is evil.
They're not doing nothing. The US has handed over tens of billions of dollars in cash, aid and arms.
As I understand it the jets are not easy to hand over. They now run on western computer systems and are full of NATO IFF. Ukrainian pilots don't know how to use them and may be just as dangerous to their own air and ground forces as the enemy. Plus it's tech NATO don't want Russia capturing and studying.
There are solutions, but they're not imediate. For all we know, their conversion is already underway.
I suspect Ukraine will get aircraft as an escalation measure. Or in other words, if Russia do something (more) stupid like using chemical weapons, _then_ Ukraine gets supplied with tanks and jets.
That's because America is content to fight to the last Ukrainian. If Poland supplies jet-fighters to Ukraine, then they get drawn into the war, so they offered them to America (let America distribute them) but that would draw them into the war. Besides: America has it's own wars and invasions, it's not cost effective for the oil and arms lobbyists to trigger a full-blown nuclear war, why should Poland act in American interests? (they already have a refugee crisis on their hands). America has already done enough; by replacing the Ukrainian government; sending troops (previously); now backing another proxy war. They don't care about people; $/oil, what's in it for them. Yes it is sickening, but one thing is clear Poland won't play "the patsy", get left "holding the bag"; America is a "fair-weather friend" (just ask Iraq and Libya).

In kind, Russian figures have made direct threats against Poland in the advent of NATO involvement and Russian state TV has stated that Warsaw would be the first target of any nuclear exchange.

There are a number of NATO missile bases on the Russian border; at least one is in Poland. Russia has short range nuclear weapons positioned opposite them; H Clinton tried to claim that was illegal, but she was wrong.
That's another reason that Poland won't join in the war; Germany won't allow their airfields to be used and the EU insists that the UK doesn't fly weapons through their airspace; it's because they would become legitimate targets.
The corrupt American media is providing the alternative reality; America has invaded several countries; toppled regimes (including in Ukraine), killed millions... they are in no position to complain, but they do.

@NP 26,000 is probably more accurate. About a week ago a Russian pro-government news outlet reported that 9861 Russian soldiers had been killed and 16,153 wounded sines the start of the war. This report was quickly taken down. These number are quite a bit lower then the ones reported the Ukrainian government (which claims around 15,000 Russian soldiers have been killed). But much higher then the official Russian numbers which claim only around 1500 Russian soldiers have been killed. The deleted numbers are also roughly in line with American estimates. As for a source the deleted Russian story was shared by Yaroslav Trofimov from the Wallstreet Journal. That's who I heard it from.
