We Went To Saudi Arabia.

- In today's episode, we take you along on one of our craziest trips so far. Never in a million years did we think we'd go to Saudi Arabia this soon. Then, all of a sudden, we decided to just do it.
We were hesitant to go given all we’ve read about the country.
During our journey to 100 countries and beyond, we will undoubtedly visit countries where we don’t agree with certain laws or practices, and personally, we don’t want this to stop us from going.
After all, how can we build understanding if we refuse to meet people, or are not open-minded enough to talk to someone who might disagree with us? We need more understanding, respect, and international cooperation, not greater divides.
Our intention has always been to use our platform as a personal diary to look back on, and we want to take every opportunity we can to grow and learn more about the world.
More videos from Saudi Arabia coming soon!🇸🇦
Thank you for always supporting us and being the best people on the planet🌍❤️

We are Oskar & Dan, two boys from Sweden who decided to change the course of our lives, drop out of university and live life full-time. We're planning to visit every country in the world eventually, with an initial goal of 100 before the end of 2022. By the time of posting this video, we're both 24 :)
Saudi Arabia was country #83/197🌍
Thank you for watching!🙏😍❤️
As an expat working in Saudi Arabia, my observations are; it is one of the safest countries, people are very friendly once you talk to them, food is amazing : )
As a Saudi who travels a lot, I noticed that safety point as well. All the places I’ve traveled to I have witness crime on the street. Not done to me, but I was a direct eye witness to countless crimes on the street and that never happened once in all my life living in Saudi Arabia
Saudi Arabia, UAE, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain are one of the most successful Muslim countries with low crime rates, gulf nations are one of the safest countries thanks to their laws and culture. ❤️❤️

I'm from Yemen and I was born and raised in Saudi Arabia, I lived most of my life there but I had to move abroad a few years ago, I never feel home anywhere except in Saudi Arabia. Miss all the memories that I left in Riyadh and tbh Saudis are one the kindest people I've ever lived among. God bless this country and may one day I get to come back.
Im yemeni but I never went there. I really want to travel there and stay there.

Welcome to Saudi Arabia🙏
As a Saudi, I resist watching these videos, I thought it would be another misrepresentation video, but I really enjoyed this! You know how to spend your time.
P.s: regarding the visa and what you had to sign, I wish you could see what we go through as Saudis to apply for American visas, we are treated like guilty until proven otherwise, and when we’ve arrived to NYC, people rudely took pictures of us because we were wearing abayas.
In short, misrepresentation from both sides.
Oh my goodness .. they took photos .. unbelievable..so sorry you went through that . I'm not American, it's not a country I wish to visit
Lol they actually take our phones, belts, and wallets outside the consulate. At the airport in Houston they once held me for over an hour, took my phone and asked for it to be unlocked, asked for all my college transcripts, and a bunch of questions in the process.
I'm sure some of that comes from how most Americans haven't done any real traveling. I wish I had more travel opportunities myself.
كفو عليك عطيهم 😂
"Why most of the places are deserted, like no one else is there" -> It's because of the hot weather, most people stay indoors during the day until 6pm-7pm. People usually goes out at round 7pm-8pm especially after Isha prayer. Stores closes at around 12AM. During Ramadan, stores closes at around 5AM.
Until 3-4pm when its much cooler

I moved to KSA two years ago with my Saudi husband. All in all, it is a very safe country and the people are very welcoming. I was pretty confused too when I first moved here about why the people are not as active during the day, but I believe it is because 1. the weather, 2. prayer times, and 3. they are just night owls. And just like in the U.S. there are nice parts and not so nice parts. As well as some areas being more conservative than others. But the nightlife is great! And they are big on mocktails, you'll find them everywhere. I love changing peoples perceptions about Saudi, considering most people in the U.S. only know things from the news or film portrayal's. You guys are changing a lot of peoples perceptions!

1. That mall in particular doesn't have much visitors unlike Riyadh Park or Nakheel mall
2. People of Riyadh are people of the night

As someone who does not like to interfere in politics, but who encourages social openness, what Mohammed bin Salman has done during these short years deserves to be applauded. I will not listen to the Western media because it operates according to agendas and political parties. What I see is that the Saudis are happy and proud, they breathe freedom, entertainment and fun and love the Crown Prince, so why do Western newspapers attack them? Saudi Arabia has become a promising tourist destination, and with the end of the mega projects, it will have a global stature. I have already visited AlUla and have never found such a magical place in my life besides the generosity and love that the Saudis offer me.
I believe that once MBS said that they don't pay for protection but for weapons, Trump told the CIA to destroy his credibility, you should know MBS said that one week before the Kashogi incident.
MBS also just beheaded a dozen or so journalists for doing their job. Damn, how's that for "social openness".
Could it be because he murdered a journalist and just executed 81 people in one day?
You said exactly what we Saudis want to say to the world, all these changes are because of the crown prince, never listen to what the western media says about MBS, it’s all lies.
Such beautiful and well structured words. Thank you for enlightening others with such accuracy. You are welcome here anytime my friend. Hope you have a good time 🌹.
You guys give me so much hope! I literally love your work, really, I'm really thankful for being a subscriper
We really appreciate you Kaian🙏
Regarding your question about the Mall, so this is one of the oldest malls in Saudi Arabia and especially in Riyadh ( Mool AlMamlakah or Mall of Kingdom ) and the reason why no one or only few people go there is that there are newer and more modern styled malls such as AlNakheel Mall and Riyadh Park and soon enough there will be one the largest malls in the world which is Saudia Mall. I'm pretty sure Faisal did his best showing you around, I wish he could have showed you Hanifa Valley one of the most beautiful areas we go to in the winter where we camp there, also Riyadh Front which is like a long path with restaurants, cafes, and stores. As a Saudi, I can proudly say that we have come a long way and I hope to see my country the number 1 destination for tourists !
Great videos. I love what you guys do!
Welcome to Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦♥️♥️
For some reason I thought you have already been to Saudi Arabia. I must have combined all your other Middle East country adventures and assumed that you've been to all the places. And I think I always assumed that all the Middle East countries had this level of restrictions and always found it interesting how freely you have traveled to Qatar, UAE, etc. As a woman I have been interested in how it would be to travel to Middle East countries. Your nervousness around Saudi Arabia travel are what I assumed my experience for all travel to the Middle East would be. This was really so informative.
The other Gulf countries are very different! Doesn't always look like it on paper, but the reality on the ground is. Thank you🙏
