But of course he is one of the few that reaps the benefits of it by being ruthless towards others to appeal to those that control and imprison him. And I think you did very well to show that ambiguity of his character with the little we have about him, I really like you didn't make him overtly evil, but also you didn't take away from the fact that he has done horrible things in order to win and keep his spot at the top.
