Was speaking to him yesterday, met him on the drains in Southport. Really good guy!
Met him today again, big ups Gord 🙂👍🎣
Was a pleasure to meet him on the bank at the weekend, proper LEGEND and glad to finally meet him
Remember me, Gord? Nick Fletcher - I did that Angling Times feature with you on the River Crossens, it would’ve been about 1979. You had a little terrier with you, another proper character! I still work part-time for AT, for my sins! I was watching a UA-cam documentary with John Fury, Tyson’s dad, and he mentioned the Burtons, a well-known boxing family - are you related to them? They’re good big ’uns... well, your’e a good little ’un. Best of luck, Gord, and keep writing to our letters page.
i think gord was a boxer in his younger days, i seen a few videos of him online messin around thrown a few jabs
What an absolute top bloke. You can feel his passion for fishing for pike in his voice. If he can't get young kids interested in angling then I don't know who could
The best times I ever had were spent sitting in my boat on big lochs and lakes back in the eighties. It wasn't the most productive fishing but it was the most fun and it was reading Gordon's articles and talking to him at the Sluice that got me doing it. I never cared how much of what he said he caught was true, his enthusiasm and obvious enjoyment of this kind of fishing was inspiring. Ahh, the things you have time do when you're single.
Gord button is by far the best pike angler around. He has my total respect. Long may you continue to fish

Gordon tells a good tale
Always make a bee line for him at paas open day tells it like it is what a character, all the best gord do another video about your boxing days
Real characters like gord and Grahame pullen is what angling needs, there's far too many bores and tackle tarts around
pro trick: you can watch series on flixzone. I've been using them for watching lots of of movies lately.

Gord Burton is my Mentor in Pike Fishing .....why does he not raise money by his fishing classes ? People I know would pay thousands for his experience ! Come on Gord
id be quite offended being called the pikey pirate
Not boring. But DON'T lend him money you can't afford to write off.
I find people who do things for fame tedious
Correct Gord is not one of them
