Those days our elders did not use under garments. I used to see that both my grand mothers used to take out the kachcham when they go to bathroom. Nowadays, after retirement I am daily wearing MADISAR till I complete my puja ir sometimes till night. You can easily use western toilet. Now I am used to it.
They just don't wear inner garments.. just hold the kaccham side and use the toilet.... Perfect dailywear saree is cotton madisar.. Much more comfortable than 6 yards... provided you know to drape it perfectly

For naal kizhamai, i understand that if you go to the bathroom you have to change into new madisar. But if you want to wear madisar for daily usage, how to go to bathroom. Please share if you have any tips.
