Thank you, sir! I always enjoy your videos about Western Governors University (WGU). I’m currently attending Dallas College, majoring in cybersecurity, and I plan to transfer to WGU after completing my associate degree in cybersecurity. However, I’m considering transferring next year, taking only the classes that will transfer, since not all my associate degree classes will be accepted. WGU is my dream school, and I pray that God helps me get in and complete my bachelor’s degree there. Most cybersecurity professionals I know and watch on UA-cam went to WGU.
I have had a bad experience with TESU. I dropped two 3.0 credit courses on the first official day of class, and they charged me $834.00 and gave me two letter grades of "W." There is NO free drop period at Thomas Edison!!!
I started Aug with study and sophia, I had roughly 15 credits from a community college, by September 15 I had 77 CUs before starting WGU October 1, I finished 43 CUs at WGU in 5 weeks, so here it is Nov 10 and waiting on last assessment to be graded, which should be today, I spent roughly 4K. I should get my degree completion today. Is there a masters that allows credit transfers?
@ Business Administration IT management, I will tell you that WGU is a lot of work, consider that before joining, its definitely not a diploma mill that people frequently think it is.
I read that TESU is picky with their ACE credits from Sophia/etc. thoughts on this? Trying to decide between TESU and WGU as I have 49 credits from a B&M college. I feel if I can knock out all the ACE credits for TESU it’s a no-brainer to go there since I already have 49 traditional credits towards a BA in CS. Thanks in advance!

Great information Alex!
Great video. It might be worth mentioning that WGU has a PASS/FAIL GPA, so the other schools may be better for grad school programs.
Most online programs are fine with a 3.0 GPA which WGU equivalents their transcript to.
Thanks for the Discount!!!
Very great informative content!
You should mention UMass global
UMPI is now $1700 a term
Alex can you make a spreadsheet for WGU Computer Science bachelor degree if we take ACE credits from Sophia?

Congratulations! What degree did you get?

Just follow the spreadsheet. I’d go TESU since you already have college credits. Your free electives will already be covered.
@ appreciate the quick response! Thanks man!
Hey there I never see anything about American college of education
Does tesu except WGU bachelors degree even though they don’t have a GPA I’m looking to get into the tesu absn program but you need a GPA of 3.0
Why do you say 12 months instead of 6 months now? Is 6 months no longer viable?
6 Months is only counting the time at WGU. The ACE Credits will take anywhere from 2-6 months. 2 Months if you hustle.
UMPI is actually $1700 a term now. Still very reasonable and they just launched a BS in Healthcare Administration for the Yourpace program.
