For doors and such items try freecycle for folk to take them for free and it saves on skip space. If you plan on using the chimney you should get it swept and if possible a stainless steel liner installed.
I believe that this may be a grounding spike (for the antenna) for a Climax Radio receiver. This was a popular US brand radio manufactured in the 1930's . Although a US brand I'm not sure whether they made any UK/European models. 🤔🤔😏 Up date - there was also Climax Radio London (not the modern internet station ) who made radios around the same era.
why you trow the wood pieces ? cant you use them as fuel in winter ?? just asking. now that you have a large property you have room. also it wold be nice to have someone to help you!!!

This was quite a long time ago now so I don't remember exactly. As I recall, movement came back within a couple of months but I didn't have any strength in my wrist or fingers for some time, perhaps a 2-3 months. I was told by my doctor that recovery times vary but the vast majority recover completely.
