Not everyone can afford PhotoShop. Howe about suggesting other tools that can be used? Moreover not everyone is Macintosh based as well, so how about some Windows based free tools that can do what you did with PhotoShop?

Thank you for jumping into the comments. We're in the process of trying to extract ourselves from the Adobe system for exactly that reason. We're using a combination of Photoshop and Pixelmator right now and will continue to look for free resources.
Regarding the Windows things, we don't cover that platform because I don't know it. I run a production company as a full time job and do this channel as a hobby. I simply don't have the time to learn Windows and create content for that platform in addition to the content we create for youtube. Because we're focused more on gear and 3rd party software, 90% of what we cover should be platform agnostic. The amount of time it would take to fill in that last 10% of information makes the lift impossible right now.
Thank you so much for watching and giving feedback. I really appreciate it.

@@JJKoester Yup, fully understand about the cross platform complexity. Once I come up with my own methodology, I will reply back here with what I came up with for Windows. I jump from Linux, to Windows, to MacOS routinely. For the project I am working on now, is 100% Windows based, since that what is available. It does make life interesting. The one general hang up I have, is valid correct transparent overlays, say for bug/logo, almost every solution excludes this from the free versions of applications. I guess that is no surprise. For those Windows users out there, one tool I have used thus far, although it only does single color replacement for transparency is ImageMagick for Windows. Using the CLI command, you can do a simple single color replacement using the 'covert' option. Convert your graphic to PNG format, then run the ImageMagic convert command to generate a new PNG file, with transparency, replacing the single color, and you have a simple transparent graphic/image what works well for bug/logo on ATEM based systems. Not perfect for complex logo graphics, but at least functional for the simple logos I have to deal with at the moment.
And... I found your video on microphones of very great value, no to mention, enjoyed this video as well. Being focused on graphics much of the time, I needed to get up to speed on microphones, and your video was really a life saver.

This video is outdated. The presenter is using an outdated version of adobe photoshop from 2022.

It's funny to see this comment because we've bailed completely on CC in 2024. We couldn't update for Photoshop if we wanted to. Maybe it's time to do a version of this with Pixelmator or something.

@@JJKoester Thank you for the reply. I am having a difficult time with the Adobe photoshop. Trying to resize my logo, so that I can downstream it. I will check out Pixelmator.

@@calvinmathis9070 I won't have time to do the video this week but if I can, I'll do it next week. If you don't have Pixelmator, it's worth checking out. We were never a 'power user' in PS so we're not the best ones to ask if Pixelmator is a good replacement but for basic functions, it's gotten us across the finish line plenty of times.
