Ya... I got one that won't shift at all! Was working. Let a friend drive it. Came back. No shifty no worky. I think it's stuck in 3rd, but it won't shift up or down. If I move the lever manually, I can "feel" it get to neutral and/or 5th, like it changes once it gets to the end, but it doesn't actually shift. Methinks I get to tear this whole thing down to find a sheared pin or something...
@jeremygrotte130 The shift claw might not be pushing the star on the drum fully over into the next gear. Also is it a sloppy feeling? It could be the spring on the detent wheel on the star keeping it in position could have failed and it is just locked in. Or the shift claw spring that keeps it up against the star could have failed not spinning the drum. You would still feel the clutch springs on the shifter but it wont shift. Remove the side cover to see whats happening, you might as well yk.
@IngenGarage No idea what's what. I got some breakdowns up on the computer monitor right now. About to pull the right side cover and see what I can see.
@@IngenGarage P.S. Not sloppy. Just won't change gears. Feels like it's doing something. But doesn't do anything...like it's not rotating that drum with the forks on it. And I'm almost sure it's not rotating because it's not getting into neutral (e.g. neutral light never comes on).
Have you ever had a similar problem like this?
