- Never fails that when you need to plug in a lamp or your phone charger, the outlet is behind the couch. So I found some basic plans online and built a simple shelf with 2 outlets. One of them has 2 USB ports built in. An added bonus is that now I have a place to put my remotes so they are out of the way, yet still easy to get to.
Great project. I love the use of affordable lumber. Subscribed!
Good job! Thanks for the inspiration!
I don't understand why you used and out let that should be mounted in a wall vs. using a surge protector that can be mounted in a table top
pretty good video! But I was almost sick from the spinning by the end. Too bad....Hard to hear
You are making me dizzy with all that spinning. 🥴
Where did u get the plans
I didn’t really have any plans. Looked at a few different pictures on the internet and adjusted to fit my couch size. There are a few things I would have done differently. The back of the couch is sloped back so there is a gap at the bottom and I would make a better template for the cut out in the base board.
Thumbs down for the spinning.
This is a bad idea, why not just make a coach caddy to hold things like remotes with recessed power strip attached to it, your power cord would be even closer to access.
Everyone has different tastes and needs. I love this idea, especially since my couch is against two walls so I can't have a stand on one side or in front of it. Adds a nice shelf to maybe even add speakers to or something in the future. Just because an idea isn't something you like personally like doesn't mean its a "bad idea"
