I love this song. Being a divorced Jack Mormon, it makes me a bit melancholy. Partly for the marriage I had but, also because my ex and I were in love. I just didn't know what the LDS Church was all about as convert till after we got married in the Salt Lake Temple.
Maren is an amazing artist and this video is a work of art and brings back memories from living in SLC during the UofU. Unfortunately, for many Mromons, the only person who is still slightly LDS in this video is Maren, everyone else has left the LDS church, including me. I'm in the guy with the red hat at 1:38. Do some research, not long after this film was made, many truths were coming to light with the internet and many of the actors were already on their way out.
I authored and created many of the special features on the DVD for "The Single's Ward" including all of the fun "mormony" games. And ironically I've folowed a similar path to many of the folks in this video as well. Still an amazing song and video. I need to find my Betacam copy of this video so I can re-upload it in better quality. I wonder if Ryan has the original film.
