Same for me, I'm painting my trailer sailer Leisure 17SL. The bloody weather is slowing me down. I keep telling myself it's never going to be perfect, it's a forty year old. The foam rollers are not helping. I'm not using Two pack epoxy though, I'm using polyurethane marine paint.

I was so lucky, 20 degrees c last weekend, wasn’t going to miss that opportunity, also being wrapped up in a cradle was a life saver. Yes I accepted it wasn’t going to be perfect, you’ll get there, interesting choice of paint, is that for above the water line? Keep focussing on that moment when you’ve done it all and never have to do it again!😁best of luck!⛵️

In colder weather I will put my paint inside by the heater overnight. Really helps to kick off the chem reaction.
In hot weather I will do the opposite, put it in the fridge 😅
    Cheers Steve

Sound advice there, kept mine at home up until the last minute, then was fortunate enough to have 20 degrees c for the weekend. It’s been about 7 degrees since! I think the Mrs would draw the line at me putting it in the fridge 😂I’ve got boat stuff strewn all over the house crammed in every cupboard and wardrobe, that might push her over the edge😂⛵️

Hi, how much of the Jotun did you use? My boats 35’ and wondered if I’d need two containers of it. Thanks.

Hi, I used 0.75 litres per coat and I estimate that it covered 6m2. The coverage rate for this product is apparently 8m2 per litre which is consistent with my coverage.
I know of a 28 foot long keeled smack that managed 2 coats per tin. If you have a fin keel- I would imagine 2 tins would get you 4 coats. Definitely 3.
The wetted surface area calculators I have found are inaccurate, if you can work out your area and base it on 8m2 per litre you won’t be too far out. I applied 4 coats and sanded with 180 grit once cured. Then degreased and pressure washed. I did this instead of using a tie coat. hope this is helpful.
