Real nice exhaust sound, i´m lovin´it! I´ve the same car, and I was realy interessted in your BTG-Time. You have a crazy gearbox shift-style, but I hope you´ve enjoyed the Norschleife.
Hey man thanks! BTG-Time would have been under 10 mins if the oil didn't get in to my intake through the oil breather. (If you run the same engine be sure to check out the mod to prevent that from happening). Once the smoke blew out of my exhaust my main priority was getting the car off the track due to the crazy towing costs if you get stranded on the circuit. Also not sure what you mean with "crazy gearbox shift-style", could you elaborate ? :)
Sorry, my english isn´t the best! I mean, that you sometimes use the wrong gear for the corner and the main "problem" is, that you often use the lower gear to break. Actually, no problem, but the corsa B with that kind of heavy engine, mounted in front of the frontaxle tends to drift with the rearaxle (my experience). So using the engine brake makes the rear of the vehicle very light, also no problem, driving straight ahead. But steering in that moment could bring you in big trouble. So, my oppinion, try to use more regular brake. On the one hand the brake is stronger, so you are able to stay longer on the accelerator and on the other hand in uses both axles to delay, it´s simply more safty. With that car in combination whith that engine and any kind of racing suspension ist noch problem to get a low 8.XXm BTG time. I´ve build my corsa B for GLP on Nordschleife and this season I will try my very best to participate every race (last year I´ve done just 1/7 with a corsa B c16Si an around 100hp, because the c20xe wasn´t finished. My new one ist now just build for race. Where are you from? Best regards, Kai
Yeah well that was the second time ever on the Ring so my braking and everything wasn't on point as i was just driving while feeling the car. I have no track experience whatsoever other then those two laps i did. So wrong gears is because i don't know the track that well yet and the engine braking was because my brake-pads were almost all worn out. (got new ones now) So it was a far from ideal run but thanks for the tips ! Cool that you're building it for the track, i'm jealous! I'm from the Netherlands, i'm guessing you're from Germany ? :) Your English is fine! Greets, Nick
Cool video. And I was going to inform you about the oil problem they c20xe suffer from when corner in hard. What I didn't know is there is already a nod to rectify the problem. Do you have a link to a tutorial by any chance?? Thanks in advance. 👍🏻👍🏻
Hey man, thanks! I haven't done the mod myself and i already sold the car sadly (Currently running with a Renault Clio RS, still have to hit the Ring one day haha) But i did a quick google to find the topic i was talking about, hope it helps! www.migweb.co.uk/forums/engine-transmission/546-breather-modification-20xe.html
Tiago Sousa If you would have taken some time to read the description and the comments you would have come to the conclusion that i have never claimed that this was a video demonstrating " skilled driving". But i'd like to thank you for taking your time to write this very constructive post.
love to see this how this car drives around, old but gold! 1 own a 1.2 B from 1999, not that quick, but still nice to drive
So right

2.0 115hp? Is it a C20NZ or C20XE?
It was a C20XE, around 160bhp if i remember correctly.
Thanks for the reply :)
Dürfte der xe sein
How does Nurburgring work? How can you race there?
You pay for a ticket that you scan at the entrance, then you can drive one lap. I suggest looking up on Google on actual pricing and opening times.
Geht richtig gut voran der Kleine 👍
Blown head gasket or oil breather issue?
StuntFreak37 Oil breather issue, car ran fine afterwards but i ended the run slowly because i wasn't sure what happened at the time :)

Es verdad, pero el tipo solo quiere pasarlo bien, baja una marcha de más muchas veces y eso le frena
