Thank you so beautiful. So easy to follow. I am going to make socks for homeless men that will be coming to the Winter Night Shelter.
That’s sweet but what about women 😅
@@lottyr1778 its probably a men's shelter.
You’re so sweet for doing that! The world needs more people like you 💖
@@lunamoona466 instead of saying the world needs more people like this, we should start saying that _we’re_ going to be like that person 😌😌
That's amazing:D
Your tutorial is, for me, the easiest to follow. Clear instructions, clear visuals. Thank you LovinglyNie.
I worked up a sock for Winter in Orange and Black colors, it really fits. I crocheted an ankle one in a day. Thanks for the video. Sherry
Thank you very easy to follow I think I’m gonna get started on making socks for my children for Christmas next year
I’m really struggling with this, I’m finding it hard to see what you’re doing since your hands in your way. I am a beginner and I understand it won’t be easy but I think this was very difficult I ended up knotting it plenty of times I think if you are attempting this you need to be a bit more advanced than myself. It would have been nice at the start if you had mentioned all skills you will need eg. Magic circle, half- double etc. I do understand this is 4 years old but for anyone seeing this is present day that is how I think about this video. Thank you
This is the easiest way to make the "heel" that I have found. So many patterns make the heel section too complicated. I used to make socks this way, but I lost my pattern. Thanks!
great instructions which I can follow easily! Have made 6 pairs already for the family. The only thing is that I find the heel a little thick cause of the finish. Maybe I can try sewing it together on my next pair.
Great tutorial... I do wish you would slow down just a little when showing the technique for each new stitch (just once so I could rewind and watch a few times) but I just googled how to “front post” and “back post”... Thanks again!! Love my socks 🤗
Click the 3 dots and u will see playback tap on it and u will be able to slow it down
I LOVE THIS! Thank you so much! I've tried to find a good, easy and quick sock pattern for ages... I can't knit and I don't have the patience for more complicated patterns -but I'm addicted to knit/crochet socks.
I guess to make bigger sizes I can just add rounds?
yes, just add more round. I do suggest you to add more stitch count at round 5. Probably add extra 2-3 stitches.
@@LovinglyNie Thx :-) I'll try that
I have a size 6 and used the same hook and yarn size and needed to do 18 rows instead of 14? 14 went to my mid foot
The weight of your yarn and how tightly you crochet make a difference
The easiest pretty sock tutorial I've found!
The easiest socks ever.
Thanks
i got lost after u started going faster so i unfortunately didnt get to make the socks but it was a great video non the less thank you
Me too, right after the magic circle
A new fan /subscriber. You are so easy to understand each step. Thank you!❤️
Great tutorial easy to follow my next project just what I was looking for, thank you.
Wonderful pattern. Thank you for sharing
Do the half double crochets go in the same stich?
Hi thank you very much for the good crocheting can I ask that how do you make that yarn to have a big size like that because for me I use 4 ply but I can't make a big size help please thank you
hey i did it thank you
So easy to follow ❤ thank you
Thank you very much, I have made several ones
Love these! Thanks for sharing!
What fast work you did on the socks i want try and make them, you are amazeing.
I am working on my first socks according to your tutorial. But it seems like my yarn is very thin and 14 row means nothing to it! I am using 3 ply milk cotton yarn
There are two parts that I don't understand:
1. At 15:50, why were there only 5 slip stitches? The heel contains 12 HDCs each row, then you SC both sides of the heel, you'll have 12 / 2 = 6 SCs. Then you chain 1 and slip stitches all the way to the back. Shouldn't there be 6 slip stitches?
2. Why there are 25 HDCs in each round for the body. There are already 25 HDCS on row 5-14, then you add at least 4 rows for the heel. So the number of HDCs one needs to crochet around for the body should be at least 25 + 4 = 29 HDCs?
Thank you! Love the tutorial!
Love this project. However round 3 was a bit confusing. After a little trial and error I realized I needed to crochet 2 in a single stitch and then 1 in the next 2 stitches. Not 2 into each stitch of the round (which gave me 30 instead of 20).
How do I modify this if I want to use a lightweight fingering weight yarn and a 2.5 hook?
Does it just need to be in multiples of 10 but keeping it to gauge and scale?
Lovely, well done!
Nice pattern
How do I make bigger sizes? Do I just start with more stitches in the magic circle & go from there?
Thanks for sharing 😊
How many extra rows should you add before you do the heel for sizing up example size 7 or 8
Her magic loop is the most easiest to do, no wrapping around a finger
How wool would one need to make a pair for an adult?
thank you ❤
Can I make this with 4mm crochet needle?
Is it uk or us size 6?
So easy .. new subscriber
Thanks for subbing!
THANK YOU
How can you increase to fit a size 7.your video seems the easiest to make socks. Wanted to make me a pair to wear with boots
Can I make the heel more than 4 rows !?
Approximately how much yarn is required?
Can one buy your pattern on paper?
Ooooo
Kindly anyone tell me if we need to increase the width size what should we do for that??
Im about a size 2.5 and my moms a 5, how would i do that?
(Im using a thick fluffy yarn with a size 6 hook)
Hi there:) I just read your comment, and I have just been learning about this. I have not made socks yet, but in pursuing plans for another garment I learned that the yarn weight (The sickness) is very important. If you have thicker yarn (which it would have to be thick if you’re using a 6 hook) and you use the same number of stitches she gives, your socks will probably end up big, because the stitches made from your yarn will be larger than the stitches made from the yarn showcased. To use your yarn I personally would look up a pattern that called for that yarn weight/ density specifically, I know that it’s possible to double up when yarn is too thin, but I have no idea how to adjust when the yarn is too thick for a pattern.
Thank you so much
The socks look beutiful but for me you are going too fast. Can you make one that is slower. Thanks 😊
When are you doing yarn giveaway again

I hate to break it to you, but you did in fact use the magic circle technique when beginning 🤣🤣🤣
Thank you for this pattern. So far I have made 5 pair for the homeless as well as other patterns for hays and gloves. Everyone deserves to be warm and many still need shelters. This is an easy pattern to adjust sizes as well. Many thanks.
Thank you SO MUCH for sharing a pattern and technique that I can actually follow and understand. Other people have made it way more complicated than it needs to be. I think you just explain it better and show it more. Thank you again. I'm getting ready to start my sister a pair of socks. I do like knitting them better, but this I have to try now that I'm not intimidated by the pattern.
My first pair of crochet socks, ever! I usually knit socks but decided I'd choose this pattern because I love HDC'g. I finished 1 sock in about 2 hrs (I was distracted with homeschooling) - - and that's a record because if I were knitting, 2hours in I'd just be on the heel.
My foot is a 7.5M, so leading up to the heel, my row counter started at 5 and I stopped after completing 21, then for the leg, my row counter started at 2 and I started the cuff (FPHDC/BPHDC) when the counter was showing 22. The fit is perfect!!
LOVE LOVE LOVE the ease and completing the heel was a snap (compared to the mental gymnastics needed when knitting that part of a sock)
I did my circle with 12 and I end up making 26 hcd for 5 rows and 16 after that then I did 6 for the heal then 10 rounds of hdc shoe size is 8
Thanks for sharing Beverly :)
what do you think a size 9 1/2 would be for that?
@@bighitsonlydude9310 I think you would have to just keep trying it on as you go along and if you realize bthats its too small add more rows...hope this helped
@@LovinglyNie kindly answer my question i want to make it …
wow this answers my question! i’m a shoe size 9 & was trying to find ways to make this to fit my perfect size, & with what you’ve said i think i could make mine fit perfect! thank you for thisb
Thank you so much for this pattern. I have made MANY socks for the homeless. Bless you.
God bless you
I just finished my first sock & this tutorial is perfect! I tried it on my foot as I crocheted & was able to adjust the size without a problem! Also the crap yarn as a stick marker is a life saver🙌🏾 thank you!
I tried to make it slooow but the stick moves sooo fast to my eyes lol 🙈
Although I prefer to knit socks this would be a fun way to make around the house socks. Thank you for the tutorial.

Sorry
I've been tring to make a sock for a couple of days now using a different pattern... I've been having trouble with the last part. I'm starting over and doing this way...
So much simpler.
Thanks for posting
If this women made up the tutorial she is a legend thank you so much
Came across this tutorial and cannot believe how easy you made it to make socks!! My first pair is done...thank you so much!!
I have made these twice now (with some alterations for my boyfriend's size 11 feet) and I love them so much! So easy to follow and beautiful results. Thank you!
what alterations did you use? am trying to make this for my boyfriend (us size 12) but dont know what to change.
@@JeyIrwin I added a row using two hdc in the same stitch at the beginning so there were 20 stitches instead of 10, and then I skipped the row of 3 hdc / 2 hdc same stitch (row 4 I think). After the increasing rounds I had 40 stitches. I did 20 rounds for the length of the foot, and I did 8 rows instead of 4 for the heel. I hope that makes sense!
@@katielicheni9451 do you mean you did two hdc in the first round ? My boyfriend is a 11 and I'm trying to get It lol i tried 5 times i keep getting the numbers wrong. And what do you mean u skipped the row of 3
@@drzchick11 I did 10 in the first round just like in the video. I then added an extra round of 2 hdc in each stitch so I had 20 stitches total. Then I just did the same as she does in the video except I skipped her round 4 (which was 3 hdc / 2 hdc same stitch).
What about for a 13? I'm thinking about making a pair for myself and I'm a major beginner...
Thank you for the tutorial and pattern especially all in one place!!
I absolutely love that you use the fpdc and bpdc for the cuff of the sock!! I didn’t think of that as an option for a crochet sock, and it’s very beautiful :)
Thanks
Habe meine Socke schon mehrmals nochmal aufgetrennt. Ich hoffe, jetzt klappt's. Vielen Dank und liebe Grüße aus Deutschland. 👍🏻
danke und du bist willkommen (google translate) - thank you and you're welcome
At last I've learnt how to crochet socks. Very clear tutorial. Thank you dear.
i’ve been looking for a easy sock pattern for so long, this is such an easy one to follow thank you so much!! i love them !!
I made 1 sock. It's cute. It's not really big enough on the instep for my foot so I will try to make it a little bigger. Great tutorial. Thank you so much. 💜
Hi. I started making the sock and I increased it to a size 7, so I added rows where you indicated we should but I also increased the heel to 7 rows instead of 4. Will this change the 25 HDC to connect the heel? Should I start with morre and decrease? Every time I make the 25 HDC around, its tight around my foot. Sorry, I hope this question makes sense.
Love the way you crochet socks! I have trouble with other ppl’s pattern, but yours is so much easier. Thank you!
@lovinglynie thankyou so much, this is so easy to follow I was searching for so long, please guide me with the number of chains for size 10
hello aww I love this, but I already crochet size 6 for my daughter she in love it. just wonder u still have size 8, 9, 10 and 12. my family want me to make them for size 8 to 12 omg. just wonder if u have pattern, please. thank will be great love this pattern it best.
Ìlike it thanks a lot i would like know what size was it
Amazing tutorial! I've not been able to follow any sock tutorial on UA-cam. So easy and quick to learn. I've made 3 pairs already!
Awesome tutorial. Thanks for sharing. ❤❤❤❤❤
How much yarn is needed/what weight? :)
I LOVE this tutorial!!! easy to understand and the final product is wonderful. I have already made two pairs adjusting the size and the length. I am now making a pair for my boyfriend's grandma, and I was wondering how could I adjust the width so that they are wider. Could someone help me? thanks in advance!!
I believe maybe you could do increase stitches 🤔
Thank you for sharing this simple, easy crochet sock pattern. I have knitted a lot of socks but never tried to crochet. After watching your great tutorial, I will definitely be making my first pair of crocheted socks. Thank you for sharing you wonderful tutorial with us! ❤
I made a few pair it goes to the children living in children home.. . I will be making more.. it is my Hobbie. Thank you.
Just finished one sock after 4 hours ! Excited to make the other and more socks 😆 great tutorial
Im so lost after the heel. Everything became confusing because I needed a large sock size. No idea what to do to fix it.
Can someone explain to me how to adjust size for larger feet? I'm a W size 10 and i'm not sure how to adjust measurements.
For me when i need it to be longer i add a couple of extra rows before the heel. It will add length to the foot part, it wont make the heel or the body bigger, sorry if this isnt helpful
Merci pour l'explication bravo bravo une algérienne qui vous enbrasse
I just found your channel but I got a problem I have pulled this out five times now because I end up with more stiches then you say I have more than 20 please help
I love this pattern and how you teach it. I've been using a different pattern & got so frustrated. Had to tear it back several times before I understood it. Your instructions are way easy to follow & the sox are awesome. I made mine with different colored toe, heel & trim. Too cute. I'd send a pic but don't know how...LOL. Thank you soooo much.
wouldve been easier if you talked slower... couldnt do anything.
Has anyone made size 8 socks? Would you do 16 rows or 18 for the extra length? This looks sooo easy! Cannot wait to try! Thank you!
I think I'm a size 6, but I had to do 24 rows to get to the heel part because I used a different yarn and I often crochet tightly.
@@barefacedquestions I crochet very tightly too! If you did 24 for a size 6 I guess I'd need to do like 32 perhaps?
@@chaplinfan4538 My yarn is probably different from yours, and that matters a lot. Because this is knitted toe up, you can try on as you crochet. Stop where you want to make the heel. The number of rows you make is actually not that important. As long as it fits, that's all that matters.
I have been crocheting for a couple months now so I still have much to learn. Unfortunately, this sock is too small for my foot. I wear a size 8 shoe so I did 4 extra rows before you get to the heel. The front part fits but when I do the heel it is way too tight. It looks like I need to increase the rows on the heel as well by about 4 rows. Also, my feet are wide like hobbits so the yarn really stretches. I think I need to find a pattern designed for normal women sizes. Otherwise, it is pretty easy to follow along with as long as you pause and go back when needed.
Brill...I so enjoyed learning with you..wonderful teacher..I havent been crocheting long..and only scarfs..and granny squares up until tonight..xx
This is a great tutorial! Very easy to follow and my end product was just like what was showed here (just shrunk down because my tension was way too tight lol)
Made 2 pairs, you are great. Thanks to you I have made front post& back post hats & socks. Love your simplicity of explaining, you camera work is great as well, keep up the great work. Looking forward to your next video
I keep trying this but I can’t get it xx 😔 I have been trying it for a couple of weeks now and I just can’t get it xxxxxxxx
Hi Eva, may I know what seem to be the problem?
LovinglyNie o can’t crochet socks 🤣 I can’t get the magic circle right x
Is it me or anyone who is finding no difference in 1hdc and 2 hdc. It's so confusing.
I made 2 pairs of these and both kinda hurt my feet to walk around in and I can't figure out how to fix the problem. I am using a soft yarn.
Crochet is inherently stiffer than knit. You can make your crocheted socks softer by using a bigger hook and make sure that you don't pull the stitches too tightly.
I believe I used the right type of yarn however the socks won’t go over my foot, there is no stretch, and then once finally fit over top of foot the long part up and over ankle was very stretched and won’t go back.. 😅
Yes, this is what happened to me as well! I’m not sure if I used the rigt type of yarn though.
For me this was a little dit to fast, I need a slower and more in-depth explanation 😅
The first video -ever- that worked for me in making crochet socks. I did a few now already #neverenoughsocks
Thank you soo so much
How many skeins does a pair of socks require roughly?
