I went to High School with these girls, graduated earlier in '89, but I do remember Susie running around with a ponytail on top of her head, like Pebbles from the Flintstones, and being quite outgoing. I was working at Mazzio's pizza at the time and, I'm guessing the Mom had ordered pizza that night to be delivered. Our delivery driver said that the light was broken when he got there and no one answered the door. Two places the bodies might be, one was a pig farm not too far out of town, the other was a concrete dump right in the middle of town.

    • @TheBlacksheep2020
      @TheBlacksheep2020 2 роки тому +14

What time did he deliver it? The girls didn't show up until after 2 am. If the globe was broken well before then, and Mom didn't answer the door, makes the case go in the direction that he was already in the house when the girls arrived but that would make no sense because they got ready for bed. I also went to school and graduated with them. I knew suzie and stacy very well. Keep hoping that one day it will be solved.

@@TheBlacksheep2020 I know I said in the first post that no one answered the door but I got to thinking about it and remembered that the reason the detectives had actually talked to the driver was because of the pizza box and receipt. • @maryjocassell48

That totally confuses me because Susie and her Mom went home and had pizza early as a celebration, before Susie had gone out for the evening. I'd understood they'd picked it up themselves.Theyd actually declined a dinner invitation by Stacey and her family.

The scariest thing about the case is the simplest answer is probably lurking yet there just aren't enough clues. I'll bet this was some creep they all knew, someone who lived in the neighborhood, someone who started watching them after they moved in. The idea of the three of them being taken without anyone seeing or hearing anything means it had to be someone with a gun who demanded they be quiet and get into a vehicle most likely. The attacker most likely had one of the girls drive so that he could keep an eye on the three women. It's beyond sad. This is one of those cases that I've wondered about for years.

I'm so impressed with your research!! I am from Springfield, Missouri. I have never heard another UA-cam channel give such accurate and well researched info. I'm curious if you are also from there. You have mentioned just about everything (that I can remember) that was eventually either leaked, or released.
This case haunts me. Stacy McCall's mother was very visible and verbal. It was heart wrenching to see her on the local news begging for her daughters safe return at first, and then as the years rolled on, started begging to know where her body was so she could be brought home. Heart wrenching!!! I am sure the rest of her family and Susie and Cheryl's family all were also heartbroken, it's just that Janis McCall was so visible.
I wish the truth would come out before Stacy's parents pass away.
All the remaining family members deserve some respite.

Unless it was already empty but iF NOT , one of the friends would know for sure. As a kid in the 80s/90s we would rotate the photos in our frames & always be proud of who was in it , be it a boyfriend or best friend , if that picture was removed at the time they went missing this literally could be a HUGE clue as to what happened - well at least a potential clue!! IS there an answer to it??? did the police or anyone ever look into it?? sometimes the smallest, little thing can be the biggest clue! Hope they didnt overlook this ???? cheers! I love this channel because I love the synopsis first, speculation second approach. Great job!
I'm always uneasy when I hear law enforcement ruling out a potential suspect on the basis of that person passing a polygraph.. Polygraphs are junk science and there are all sorts of things that can cause a false positive or a false negative result. Keep in mind that, among others, Gary Leon Ridgway (aka the Green River Killer) passed two different polygraph exams in regard to one of his victims. And all the spies who have been caught in the military or Department of Defence in the last 50+ years had a history of successfully passing more than one polygraph as part of their annual security clearances--doesn't exactly inspire confidence.
So some of the potential suspects in this case seem only to be ruled out on the basis of successfully passing polygraphs--if you decide those results are neutral, well, is there anything else that rules them out?

Elaine There was actually a Peeping Tom in their neighborhood that very night. And, apparently Sheryl had been outside in the carport refinishing furniture that evening. The Dental building parking lot next door is the perfect place from which to watch someone, as they tend to close early. Cary Stayner easily abducted a Mother and two teenaged girls, using a weapon and bindings. Purses gathered together at Susie's room entrance makes me think he'd mislead the women into believing momentarily that he was only going to rob them. Susie's room had french doors leading out to the backyard.

Upon hearing the disturbing facts of the missing “Springfield Three” case, I keep coming to these conclusions -
Sheryl was the target. I only say this because the decision for Susie and Stacie to stay at Sheyl’s house was a very last minute decision. That means if someone was stalking Susie and Stacie, he or they, got very lucky that out of nowhere Susie and Stacie just happened to go off to an isolated house where he/they could attack them instead of the staying overnight as originally planned at the house of dozens of house guests where attacking them wouldn’t be possible.
On the other hand, Sheryl was scheduled to be home, at first (all alone) for the entire evening. These circumstances lead me more towards Sheryl was the target, and Susie and Stacie ended up in the wrong place as unplanned victims. Just the chain events, lead me to feel Sheryl was the target.
I may be wrong, of course, as there’s not enough concrete information, but I’d really start there, or authorities should start there, specifically with Sheryl.
What was Sheryl’s life like during that time period, what were her relationships, friends, business dealings, everything? Who would have had something specifically against her to go to the trouble of entering her house, kidnapping her and making her vanish? And eliminate the other 2 girls too as collateral damage with out blinking an eye, and cover up the crime so well?
Also, I tend to think at least 2 men were involved, maybe more, but at least 2, only because it would be difficult for one man to remove 3 women from the house and keep them under control. Not impossible mind you, as I guess one perpetrator could, but I think 2 would have a safer chance of controlling 3 hostages.
Although Bart has a troubling history, I don’t think he’s involved with the crime. However, any of the other suspects (or similar creeps out there like that) are definitely possible contenders, but no solid directions to say exactly who?
And Lastly, if Robert Cox is really involved, are we seriously to believe he’ll volunteer the information if his mother dies. Right. Why? Cox has nothing gain and everything to lose. Whoever did this has gotten away with it unfortunately for 3 decades now. And if involved, Cox has no reason to change that now, unless he’s made to talk, something that can to benefit him, so I doubt he’ll talk, even when his mother dies. And that’s assuming he’s not full of shit to begin with.
Man, this case is frustrating and scary all at once, frustrating due to the lack of good leads to follow, and scary that in a 6 hour window of between 2am and 8am that day, something very bad happened to these 3 women by one or several very bad people, and to this day, three decades later, we know practically nothing else.
But my condolences to the victims, and I still hold out hope that one day, this terrible case may finally be solved and the perpetrators held accountable.

You did your homework on this good job. My opinion is Sherrill had someone over that night. Suzie was gone for the night so she wasn't supposed to be back. I've always thought Suzie parking the way she did meant someone else was parked there. Sherrill's friends saying she didn't have a boyfriend doesn't mean anything. Sherrill was an older woman who seemed kinda private with her social life. She may not have felt the need to let people know her personal business and maybe she would have told a friend that she had a man come over that she liked but she never got the chance.
It's always mentioned that Stacey left in nothing but her underwear and T-shirt. What girl who is planning on being away for over 24 hours doesn't have a change of clothes with her ? Most girls that age have clothes in their car. I don't see Stacey getting up that morning and not taking a shower. How many people put on dirty underwear after taking a shower ? It's impossible to know for sure Stacey didn't have a change of clothes with her.
The girls didn't get back to the house till at least 2:30 am. Who knows what they walked in on. Maybe Sherrill was watching TV with her friend or maybe they where in bed asleep who knows. Maybe Sherrill wasn't too happy about Suzi showing up or maybe the man wasn't or both. An argument could have broke out. Suzi had already moved out once before to live with Bart so they didn't always get along.
I don't put much credence in the serial killer theory. If someone had Sherrill in their sights I doubt they are going to take a chance with 2 extra cars there. Why take them anywhere ? That's just taking way too much of a risk. He would want to leave that house with no one in tow. It's not easy to hide 3 bodies for ever. Tying them up and killing them in the house would make more sense. No one is going to leave money behind regardless what they are there for.
The door being unlocked is odd. In my opinion it shows they left that way. Who was the last person to pull that door shut ? Unfortunately there was never a chance to get finger prints. A killer imo would want that door locked. The killer would have no idea who was going to show up and when but with a locked door that person most likely would have assumed they weren't home.
Where did the $800 come from ? Was that her take home pay for the week ? I doubt it since she worked for a business she wouldn't have gotten paid by the customer. It's also too much for tips. I wonder what denominations the money was in. If someone was going to kidnap you I would think you would offer them money to let you go. Even if it didn't work the money would have been gone.
All the purses lined up like that is weird. In an interview with Bart he mentions something about the purses being moved. I thought he said one of Suzie's friends moved them. I'll have to listen to it again to hear exactly what he said. If it was only Sherrill and Suzie who disappeared I would say there is a good chance they just ran off for what ever reason to start a new life but Stacey being there tells me this unlikely scenario didn't happen. I think Stacey was collateral damage.

I really wish the Cox South Hospital parking garage theory would just go away permanently.
      It's obviously bullshit.

I've heard that the friend was supposed to sleep at janelles but changed her mind and went to susies. I think janelle went there with mike offended about stacey snobbing her sleepover and the light was smashed by janelle and this started a fight that turned into murder. They know what happened to the three.

hm I found it strange how they give a story about getting two calls. I mean why would a perpetrater then be calling back, sounds ridiculous to me. And many are saying it seems investigators are covering for someone? could it be them, tampered evidence, deleted call? yet they won't say who deleted call? huh? I mean I don't want to accuse anyone but have these two really been looked into?

Actually, the girls ended up going to Cheryl's house because Janelle had a ton of company, so her house was too crowded. ☮️☮️

…Um, Well, Sadly -to answer the thumb-nail posed question-
I’d definitely lean to that they are not alive -
And almost assuredly were murdered shortly after they went missing. ✌️
