my dude, that's a beautiful notion! writing music is absolutely something well worth being inlove with. and you are absolutely entitled to perceive any artwork in exactly the way it resonates with you and your soul. art! what a thing.

Lyrics: Still got pictures of friends on the wall Suppose we aren't really friends anymore Maybe I shouldn't ever have called that thing friendly at all Get freaked out from a knock at the door When I haven't been expecting one Didn't that used to be part of the fun, once upon a time? We'll be there at the back of the bar In a booth like we usually were Every time there was a rocket launch or some big event What a death I died writing that song From start to finish, with you looking on It stays between us, Steinway and his sons Because it's the ultracheese Perhaps it's time that you went for a walk Dressed like a fictional character From a place they called America in the golden age Trust the politics to come along When you were just trying to orbit the sun When you were just about to be kind to someone because you have the chance I've still got pictures of friends on the wall I might look as if I'm deep in thought But the truth is I'm probably not if I ever was Oh the dawn won't stop weighing a tonne I've done some things that I shouldn't have done But I haven't stopped loving you once
I mean the line "I've played to quiet rooms like this before" in One Point Perspective is about him writing a lot of this on his Steinway Piano his manager gifted to him. so most songs were written by Alex alone in a room (maybe his living room) before the rest of the band came in and added bits and pieces
"The dawn wont stop weighing a tonne ....I've done some things that I shouldntve done. ..but I havent stopped loving you once "..... them lines reduced me to a quivering broken heap on the floor.
This song fits the mood for 20-30 year olds when they're realizing how crazy the world is and the uncertainty of it all but also a hint of nostalgia from all those good and awkward times when you were shy and almost broke down into tears
2:49 Pure chills. That part alone has some of the most beautiful piece of music I've heard. Probably my favorite song on this album besides Four Out of Five
I've listened to the album. I must say it is not a mass crowd pleaser in a very unapologetic way, it's a brave move and i like it. Alex knows how to paint a picture with his words, and I think it is a very good and important album, it is another peace of the puzzle in the history of arctic monkeys. I can understand the hate for the album, must say that the previous one was a truly one of the all-time greatest albums ever with unforgettable all-time hits, and this is something that I think this album is lacking of, I can put a finger on maybe one or two songs that can be hits but no one is on the level of "I want to be yours" for example. Very good, very brave and spacial. Not their gratest one but an important one, somone once said that when you start listening to your fans you become an entertainer and stop being an artist, so good for them giving us something different this time.
i think its good not always to produce bangers. sometimes the best songs are subtle, moving and thought provoking, which is what I think they were going for. For me this album shows that arctic monkeys are more than musicians as entertainers, but artists in their own right. And that's why I also think its a better album than anything they've made before this.
do love this album, but sits just after 1 & 2, although its close to 2nd. The first is just masterful lyrics (instrumentation is on point but not very exploratory) also it has the most memories for me. Second album same, memories, and more exploratory sound. This album is just so left field that I love it. Lyrics are like so wild but in a good way, they were with Humbug, SIAS and AM but the wild lyrics seemed disjointed and over contrived at points. It's like Alex found what he was trying to do for years with TBHAC. And I LOVE it.
No, especially for people like me who've F'ed over and ruined every meaningful relationship I've ever had...I really miss those simpler times. Edit: shared this vid with a couple of old friends, we spoke for a few days, and then went back to our boring mundane every lives.

Luiz P. V. de Figueiredo oh definitely, Sgt Peppers was originally despised by most critics and hardcore fans and now it’s considered one of the best and most influential albums ever

This album is an absolute masterpiece, and in time people will see why. It's one of the finest and most honest music albums i've ever seen, and god it is so, so sad. Just a really depressing piece of beautiful artwork. The Ultracheese is about social interaction. Alex says "get freaked out by a knock at the door, but didn't that used to be part of the fun?" He's saying that technology has killed social comfort, and made everyone socially awkward and unfriendly. The fact that people get immediately concerned about an unexpected visitor knocking on their door is enough to prove that. In the old days (as in, before the internet) people would just go to each other's houses unannounced for a visit or to say hello, it was just a friendly little thing to do. Old people still do this, but one day there will be no one who does. The Ultracheese is basically all about Alex feeling nostalgic and longing for simpler times, when people were kind just because they could be.
Songs from this album are like poem. I'm trying to understand what is Alex singing about, but I think I need to grow to them. I'm only 13. Also, I am from Poland so lyrics are maybe too difficult for me right now. I don't want this phase to outgrown. Now I'm going to enjoy their "AM" album, "TBHC" needs time, I think :) (sorry for mistakes🇵🇱)
If this is a phase, then I'm in it for 2 years, so it's a bit too late to back out, not that I want to. Their songs just have that certain aura that is so haunting.
I love this album so much... Is so sad that people didn't know how to appreciate it correctly, I hope this will be recognized as the masterpiece it is in the future.
i cant express how happy it makes me to see that the people in the comments love this song just as much as i do, but continue to make fun of the name ldhsksjsl
"We'll be there at the back of the bar ..." This part always gets me the most. It's like an old group of friends saying to you: "Hey, don't forget about us... we are still here if you need us"
I used to not like TBH&C but after forcing myself to listen to it I ended up crying to a song called “The Ultracheese” and here we are two years later, still crying.
I loved this album since the first day I listened to it, the songs were completely different and off artic monkeys, but still was amazingly crafted, it made me feel like I was living in the Cowboy Beebop world and I used to describe the album as special for rainy days while drinking coffe and smoking. It wasn't until a year ago that I listened to this song live at Lolapalooza Chile that I felt it was the best song of the album, and I almost cried while dancing it with tons of strangers, as I was alone there, surrounded by people singing to a song I thought was the only one I did not like in the album.
Arctic Monkeys forever in my heart!!! Russia loves you!💜
I just miss their math rock aspects, and the instrumentation throughout the album is all generally very basic especially the drums (from a drummers pov) still like this album tho
Love it or hate it, it's a concept album. Purposefully playing the part of the crooner, backed by a jazz band. It's all in the title " tranquility base hotel and casino".
Probably Oliver Tate's grown older and reflects on all that he used to be when he was with Jordana Bevan. Ultracheese could easily make it to Submarine's OST. What a beautiful, beautiful song!
'Trust the politics to come along when you were just trying to orbit the sun, when you were just about to be kind to someone because you had the chance' Amazing lyrics, and the way he sings it makes it most emotive line on the album I think.
I miss all my friends, I haven't spoken to any of them since I took the decision to become sober but I still love them all, hopefully I can sit with them at the back of the bar in our usual booth again one day...
The lyrics of this song feels so fitting to 2020 and the quarantine that we've all been going through. 'Get freaked out from a knock at the door When I haven't been expecting one Didn't that used to be part of the fun, once upon a time? We'll be there at the back of the bar In a booth like we usually were Every time there was a rocket launch Or some big event' These lyrics itself shows how isolated and alone Alex Turner probably felt when he took a break from the AM tour & probably just chillin doing nothing. He kind of predicted the feeling of missing big events, like rocket launches and meeting up at the pub having drinks with a large crowd, things that we obviously won't do in this Covid world. Its the 2nd of January as I'm writing this and damn, New Years Eve is always such a huge event to celebrate but, there was no big event in 2020. This song just makes sense! Its amazing how timeless the lyrics feel and how it resonates to Now. Ahh! I love geeking out to this album!!!
This song makes me think of my ex every time I listen to it and I can't handle the amount of yearning it makes me feel for her and the happy days we spent together, when they were happy. I need this song for comfort, but it pains me deeply and I miss her everyday
Got freaked out from a knock at the door, when you havent been expecting one, wasnt that supposed to be part of the fun. Once upon a time..... Hits different when you older Amazing amazing
the tbhc is one of the most smart albums that i ever saw. i am very proud of the boys, cuz they are growing up. actually, if you do not like tbhc you are no a good person. this album is AMAZING, the ultracheese is my fav song but LOOK AT THE WHOLE ALBUM guys, this is PURE ART. it is not a thing that you can ignore. give to arctic monkeys what they want, applause.
This album is like the Sgt Peppers of the Arctic Monkeys for me. It’s different to their other stuff but in a brilliant way. The lyricism on the whole album is genius. Absolutely gorgeous sounding album.
I really hated on this album when it came out but it grew on me so much, especially this song. I'm going through the same with their newest album. We'll see.
I'm falling in love with this song because I know that everyone went through a situation like this, and when you listen it the good memories just start replaying in your head. Shit, I think I miss my old friends
There are a couple of arctic monkeys songs that are just... special to me. Don't get me wrong, I love all of their stuff, but there is always a song or two in each album that just makes me close my eyes and imagine a story, or even just a scene. In Humbug, it's The Jewellers Hads. In Suck It And See, it's Black Treacle. In AM, it's Snap Out Of It. In TBH&C, is The Ultracheese. I wish we had an actual music video for this, but even without it, I can just close my eyes and imagine the scene.

Is that sad? U know, if evrything is gold, it turns into a useless or cheap material.
(Sorry xd)
Did they touch some...trunks?
I'd like to turn into gold then! Hah....sorry.
"But I haven't stop loving you once"... lpm esa frase te despedaza el corazón
TBHC is the best album ever, i really don't know how the people hating this work of art
bro this album is so good.. no bad or weak song imo.. this album is really cool
Russia loves you!💜
MANOOOO, QUEM MAIS DOS BR TAVA DOIDO ESPERANDO POR ISSO? FINALMENTE, AAAAAAA

Melhor música do álbum
eu amo d+
Shorei escutando isso kk;-;
How the people say this album is bad?
Rodrigo Oliveira It's a masterpiece
Yeah, is beautiful of begin to end
Just because it wasn’t what they expected
its not what i've wanted, its not what i expected but f#ck it i love it
I just miss their math rock aspects, and the instrumentation throughout the album is all generally very basic especially the drums (from a drummers pov) still like this album tho
Love it or hate it, it's a concept album. Purposefully playing the part of the crooner, backed by a jazz band. It's all in the title " tranquility base hotel and casino".
a pizza without ultracheese it's not a pizza
Andrei Mihai wtf hahahaha
It isn't a pizza at all my friend. 😢
Still got pizzas of friends on the floor
@@Luksk8overall I might look as if im deep-pan thought
Dute ma la scoala
Yeah I'll never feel emotion listening this:
This: I haven't stop loving you once, ooooh
Me: can't hold the tears
This song has Christmas vibe sm 😭😭😭
"But i haven't stopped loving you once ooohhh " i felt that 🥹
As always, the songs i don't like at first end up being my favourites. I can't stop listening to this, so beautiful!
Probably Oliver Tate's grown older and reflects on all that he used to be when he was with Jordana Bevan.
Ultracheese could easily make it to Submarine's OST. What a beautiful, beautiful song!
'Trust the politics to come along
when you were just trying to orbit the sun,
when you were just about to be kind to someone
because you had the chance'
Amazing lyrics, and the way he sings it makes it most emotive line on the album I think.
Most emotive line for sure, and my favorite. Only gets truer as time goes on unfortunately
I miss all my friends, I haven't spoken to any of them since I took the decision to become sober but I still love them all, hopefully I can sit with them at the back of the bar in our usual booth again one day...
by far one of my favorite albums and one of my favorite songs of all time. the beauty of it makes me want to cry
The lyrics of this song feels so fitting to 2020 and the quarantine that we've all been going through.
'Get freaked out from a knock at the door
When I haven't been expecting one
Didn't that used to be part of the fun, once upon a time?
We'll be there at the back of the bar
In a booth like we usually were
Every time there was a rocket launch
Or some big event'
These lyrics itself shows how isolated and alone Alex Turner probably felt when he took a break from the AM tour & probably just chillin doing nothing.
He went straight from doing AM to working with Last Shadow puppets what do you mean sitting and doing nothing?
This song makes me think of my ex every time I listen to it and I can't handle the amount of yearning it makes me feel for her and the happy days we spent together, when they were happy. I need this song for comfort, but it pains me deeply and I miss her everyday
Got freaked out from a knock at the door, when you havent been expecting one, wasnt that supposed to be part of the fun. Once upon a time.....
Hits different when you older
Amazing amazing
the ultracheese will always be my fav arctic monkey's song ever
the tbhc is one of the most smart albums that i ever saw. i am very proud of the boys, cuz they are growing up. actually, if you do not like tbhc you are no a good person. this album is AMAZING, the ultracheese is my fav song but LOOK AT THE WHOLE ALBUM guys, this is PURE ART. it is not a thing that you can ignore. give to arctic monkeys what they want, applause.
This one always gave me "In My Life" vibes, I think this is how Alex portrays his nostalgia.
Took half of a year to realize how masterpiece this album is🔥🔥🔥
Simply the best song of the Album, i love the tranquility, the drum, the voice, the piano, the pauses, i love all of this piece of music
We'll see.
His voice is so beautiful...I wish the song was longer...
MINHA FAVORITA DO ALBUM ❤
Here's to you, old friends and new. You all inspire in ways that seem unimaginable. I wish you all the best of luck.
This song more like era 70’ ❤️❤️
Alex: im gonna write a song that is so sad and i'll gonna called "the ultracheese"
he is so kind, he wanted us to smile because of the title 💀
@@benedictcumberbitch5940 because he had the chance hehe
@@TRiFarisa hahahha we are fcking clowns for realllll
I mean not out of pocket coming from Alex😭😭
please 😭😭
this song and the whole album is just perfect goodbye
A very nostalgic song, without a doubt the best one from the album 2:12 from on give me goosebumps
i remembered the first time i listened to this
Still got pictures of friends on the wall
I suppose we aren't really friends anymore
Maybe I shouldn't ever have called
That thing friendly at all
Get freaked out from a knock at the door
When I haven't been expecting one
Didn't that used to be part of the fun, once upon a time?
We'll be there at the back of the bar
In a booth like we usually were
Every time there was a rocket launch
Or some big event
What a death I died writing that song
Start to finish, with you looking on
It stays between us, Steinway and his sons
'Cause it's the ultracheese
Perhaps it's time that you went for a walk
And dress like a fictional character
From a place they called America
In the golden age
Trust the politics to come along
When you were just trying to orbit the sun
When you were just about to be kind to someone
Because you had the chance
I've still got pictures of friends on the wall
I might look as if I'm deep in thought
But the truth is I'm probably not
If I ever was
Oh, the dawn won't stop weighing a tonne
I've done some things that I shouldn't have done
But I haven't stopped loving you once
This song is so dreamy!
The opening lines truly iconic poetry
His voice is so beautiful
