I just built this set and every time I finish a set you have reviewed I come by here to watch it. You are the by far best Lego reviewer I have found on youtube. You have perfect tone and cadence; very easy to listen to as well as informative and humorous. I hope you are well and sometime get back to more reviews. I would love to see all the Western Indian sets reviewed by you as well as the Adventurers Orient Expedition. Thanks for making all these videos, you are the man!
What a beast of a set. I believe this set actually influenced Lego's most recent castle sets, like in 2010 kingdoms line, where they broke with the raised baseplates and instead went with parallel walls made from wall panels. But while those castle panels always bugged me due to their hollowness it actually isn't that much out of place for a palisade wall.
That ladder that is in “the narrowest possible place” I always assumed was used to go up to the top of that guard tower since there are other ladders that allow you to get to the walk way.
my idea for the box with gun would be that somebody is trying to smuggle out weapons out of the fort to sell them from profit :) anyway another great review, just found out that i already watched all of your videos so can't wait for next upload
Either that, or it's part of the crew from the Secret Hideout set, as one of the horses has the same box. Perhaps they ride back and forth from Gold City Junction to Fort Legoredo to get weapons repaired and/or resupply ^^
Jamie make more videos they are the only singular thing that constantly dissipate my anxiety as well as being fun to watch when im in a good mood i need mooooore
This set is freakin awesome. I had it in my possession a couple years ago for my collection but have since sold it off because it was too big to display where I intended to put it. But was fun to have while I had it
My dad got me this set back in the day, if i could go back i'd tell him to buy 2 and leave one in the box. It ended up in some lego box with the rest of my destroyed sets lol. I had endless fun with this set in the 90s, my dad even painted a desert scene on a flat piece of wood with a river on it. Hes still like that with his grand kids. The 90's were great.
I think any Western Lego set that has a box with a shotgun, it's meant to represent a general or an Indian leaders prized rifle. This set and the bandits hideout has them.
I can see Chief Big Rattlesnake capturing Colonel Jefferson Custard's shotgun following a raid on the convoy headed to Fort Legoredo. He hoists it high over his head against the sun like the Zulu warrior and his Martini-Henry rifle in the opening of Zulu.
I actually got this for christmas one year. My Christmas lists were basically copied from the lego catalogue and I was so excited to finally get one of the big sets! I played with this for months.
Hey trixbrix! Thanks for creating all these videos, they are really well done. Found your channel by searching up fort legorado, After binge watching your videos, I have just decided to purchase fort legorado and placed and order on bricklink! Looking forward to your new videos! You have earned a new loyal subscriber!
I wish this one had come with a proper baseplate to cover the entire set. It can be a little wobbly with the way it's built on several smaller plates with no center.
Ohh, this is one of the themes that I really wanted as a kid! I'm not sure that it ran for much more than a year or two! I recently saw it in a 1996 catalog and I fell in love with it all over again! Unfortunately, there are SO many things I'd want to get that it'll be some time before I get any from this theme. I like your video by the way - great lighting, great picture quality and very good VO! Seems very professional! Thanks for sharing this and keep up the wonderful work! I'm really looking forward to seeing more of your stuff :-)
I just noticed one of the stickers on the flags is upside down. This is funny because the Fort Legoredo I bought on Bricklink also had a single upside down sticker.
I wish we got a jail set and I mean a big prison penitentiary with guards, a warden and the bandits in prison clothes. The play features could involve ways of how the bandits escape like blowing a hole in the wall or a hidden hole in one of the cells to create the simulation of that the bandits dig a hole and tunnel out of the prison. Could've been like Lego's version of the Daltons from Lucky Luke.
Agreed! They could’ve even built something like that into the right wall of this set, instead of just making it a plain, boring wall. Maybe someday they’ll revisit the West and redesign a few things...
This is a very cool and interesting set how many Lego semi trucks can take the fort legorado if the bricks were not together same with the other Wild West sets plus the wagons and how many rvs could take the western minifigures and how many horse trucks For all the horses
How many Lego 2010 semi trucks would take the legorado and the western town sets if they were all taken apart without the baseplates same with How many RVs would be needed to take the western minifigures same with horses. Thompson and his friend would be in a police van. There would be tons of Lego construction workers.
I wish they braught this back and upgrade the certain ereas makeing them look more accurate replacing the latter's with the wooden stairs and extend the walls just to widen the fort I wish I could have gotten this set I have some of the Calvary Soldgers and the original 3 gang members pluss baught lot of union soldiers from the lone ranger so I have a small Squad dang..... theyd be a nice addition to reinforce the fort lol
There’s an (unofficial) Lego store near me that sells Brickarms stuff, but I’ve never bought any. I’m usually a purist when it comes to Lego, although I’ve seen some Brickarms weapons that looked pretty good.
@@TrikBrix I'm honestly considering buying Adventurers sets and replacing their weapons with WW2 and Western ones. Also I feel that they need more henchmen in that line. Von Baron looks like he could get his hands on some good mercs, maybe some war buddies.
@@codename617 Baron Von Barron should have his pith helmet replaced with one of those custom pickelhaube helmets from BrickArms for a Commandant Hermann Fleischer vibe from the book and film versions of Shout at the Devil. This way, Imperial Prussia tries to capture British-ruled Egypt during WWI via the Baron acting as an agent provocateur. Also, one could get some of the Arabs from the Indiana Jones sets and arm them with either Krag-Jorgenson or Mauser-Gewehr '98 rifles courtesy of the Baron and his boss the Kaiser. Similarly, the western sets can have realistic Winchesters as opposed to cartoonish Remington '70s (the actual Lego rifles). That would look pretty cool in the hands of the lawmen and the Sioux while the army can have Springfields or Spencers.
At 10:15 you mentioned the cannon is the firing type, but I think you've been swindled. I got this set when I was very young and still own it, as well as several other 90's sets with cannons. None of those sets have a cannon that fires like that, they are all static. If you bought this used you definitely got scammed because that is not the cannot that is supposed to come with it.
Those were my favorite as a kid. I had every set which were assembled together to form Rapid River Village. If I ever get the money, the first thing I'm doing is getting the 2002 last time offer deluxe Rapid River Village set which combines all the sets. Chief Big Rattlesnake, Buffalo Medicine, Red Shirt, Spotted Eagle, Sioux Sui, Baby Falling Rain, and Tom O'Hawk the scout were among my favorite toys as a kid. Ditto with Johnny Thunder and his friends and enemies from The Adventurers. Good ol' Legos.
26 years later this set's commercial lives rent free in my head
I remember some Lego commercials. I mostly remember sets being advertised in the Lego Club magazine
Awesome set. The ladders are placed where they are so you can flip them up to reach the top level.
That’s awesome - I’d never thought of that! 😎👍
This is one of my favorite themes and I wish they made more sets in this theme!
Me too! Maybe someday they’ll revisit it...
Me too
TrikBrix make more videos pls
@@captainrex5223 yeah u need more vids they were rilly gud
Greg Whipple thx bruh
I own the entire western theme. So happy I took care of my toys! I added lots of cannons and multiple "frontier patrol" sets so there was entire army.
I am definitely going to do Flatfoot Thompson in RDR2 Online, he is perfect for this game !
That’s a great idea! 😎👍
Hey thats what I was going to do too! In the story, I made 3 custom bandit outfits (black Bart, flatfoot thompson, Dewey cheatum)
@@goodkill8335 that’s amazing 😎
I wish they’d bring this back with some Johnny thunder sets.
I miss my childhood

Great way to close out season one of the Wild West theme! Ever since I was a child,Fort Legoredo was one of the coolest big base sets to me.
It definitely is one of the coolest... and one of the biggest as far as shelf space goes. Spent many hours dreaming about this one as a kid!
he needs waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more subscribers, man. Great videos!
Haha, thanks! I’m glad you’re enjoying them! 😎👍
I really am! Keep up the great work!
Somehow I never knew of this set. I saw a picture of it in a video just now and had to look it up. Absolutely legendary.
I got this set back in 8th grade, 1998.. still have it, but lost the instructions so I can’t rebuild it 😩 haha. But I loved Fort Legoredo!

I really like how you mention how much these sets go for today

This is awsome set and i'm planning to buy this one :)
Well I know what set I am saving up for now.
Definitely a worthy set to save for! 👍
I'm so glad I saved all my western sets including this one. I always liked Fort Legorado and the Sheriffs station the most out of the westerns.
this is so cool, but if lego dared to make this today they would be called raaaacist
Hey boss, we really enjoy your respectives! Can we get some more videos? Thanks for all the uploads! Great videos!
You can just flip the ladders upward to make your minifigs climb the towers. I guess they were designed to do so

This set is the Lincoln Logs of LEGO.
I have gold city junction and sheriff's lockup
How much does this go for these days?
You are meant to roll the ladders up to get up to the third floor.
You could probably fit 2 rifles into the box.
Hello Jamie!

I found one for 30 bucks!
i have the set
