@@seanakapax it's the best decision I ever made in my life. Pros are there are so many international students and their facilities are incredible. The staff is so welcoming and helpful. The only con I see is not being able to get a crous(uni residence).
La Silicon Valley en Californie (que j'ai visité) est 10 fois plus étendue que Paris Saclay, les entreprises y sont aussi dispersées. C'est justement ça qui marche, il faut voir BIG sinon tu restes SMALL et te fais dévorer par les autres.
C'est l'uniformité qui te plaît au lieu de voir plutôt à la complexité du lieu par rapport aux multi-fonctionnalités si diverses dans un seul territoire pour ne pas à gêner surtout le corps enseignant, pour ceux qui dispensent dans les mêmes matières. Ça devait te rappeler la sagacité si pertinente de l'esprit français qui à mon avis est plus riche dans la créativité; et si seulement ces gens pouvaient se conscientiser, ils devaient être de loin la 1ère puissance économique et technologique en Europe. Mais hélas, ils font preuves de légèreté de caractères.
The university building is magnificent from afar. If you walk down a hallway I promise you won't find the front door. The university is almost in a remote area, there are no cafes, no shops around. You have to wait hours for the bus to take you to the intercity metro line, which also doesn't work well. Awful, awful university. I assure you that if you are in trouble at this university, you will not be helped. None of the secretaries are doing their job properly. No matter how much you ask, you will not receive an answer. Your documents are not sent correctly and when you try to follow up you fall into a cycle that takes two to three years. Just go behind the secretaries' doors during office hours to see how many students have come and everyone has a problem.
Et donc? Welcome to the world of 2024, an interconnected reality where English is spoken by the majority of people. So, instead of staying confined in your little bubble, try to interact and integrate with the world that surrounds you 😉
Paris Saclay is my big dream.
